DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitoring all gold mining, processing and movement processes.
• Coordinate Bullion in transit movement with Police and contracted Bullion in transit company.
• Ensure that security measures are in compliance with mandated requirements, and quality controls in place.
• Supervision of internal Security, CCTV Operators and Contracted Security personnel.
• Provide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss prevention, security best practices and security programs including security planning.
• Lead and contact investigations on all occurring security incidents at the mining group.
• Develop Security deployment strategies within the Mine Premises to combat crime effectively.
• Collaborate with organizational administration, departments and external groups to effectively resolve security related issues.
• Align the security processes to realize the organization's goals.
• Participate in the prevailing process and desired security process outcomes.
• Develop new and innovative approaches, as well as generate a range of strategic alternatives to address the goals and help the mine to achieves its vision, whilst taking current strategies and activities into consideration.
• Draft and review existing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes on a continual basis and benchmark against global standards.
• Review standards for security audits, surprise checks, mock drills for evaluation of efficacy of security processes.
• Compile daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly security reports for management attention.
• Prepare Security Section Budget notes for management approval.
• Train security personnel on health and safety issues in line with NOSA Five Star Audit requirements.
• Contact Security awareness programs to mine tip offs anonymous reporting system.
