I am an accountant by profession but have 15 yrs of experience in customs procedures, transport and Logistics.
Main duties performed and Skills gained: Organizational/Leardeship and Computer Literacy. 1.Handle the day-to- day operational relationship with the Client Receive orders from Clients (tariffs already validated t h r o u g h a quotation). In c a s e of new business (new or existing client), a new quotation will be issued by Sales department. Request for missing documentation and more detailed instructions if necessary, from the Client. Inform the Client of the file processing progress in real time (standard or specific report, according to quotation). 2. Manage the file processing Update the Client and the IFFOS on the file processing progress and update the monitoring software on the status of each file
-Receiveand open operation files on a daily basis
-Shareshipment status with Clients on a daily basis.
-Mitigateon disputes on behalf of clients i.e. through drafting of KPA waiver letters on additional charges.
-Shareloading pre-alerts on a daily basis
-Share TEU projection with the transport team every month
-Update way system in real time
-Ensure demurrage notification/recovery is done on receipt of shipping line detention invoice
-Avail all files with disputes/issues to the immediate supervisor for action. 3.Alert/Inform Management Alert the Client, in case of any operational issues (potential or real) and escalate to the IFFOS the issues that you are unable to handle

Main duties performed and Skills gained: Organizational/Leardeship and Computer Literacy. 1. Lodge and follow up customs folders with Customs for further processing. 2. . Arrange for prompt transfer /location of containers to facilitate verification. Organize for a joint survey in cases 3. where containers have been found not to be in good condition. 4. Perform physical pre- verifica tion with concerned authorities to ensure physical cargo details tally with declaration details. 5. Ensure cargo release with various government authorities 6. Arrange and obtain F147 forms for the necessary payments with CFS/Port 7. Following up on valuation and Tarif in cases where files have been found to be having value issues 8. Organize for destination verification on Client premises where consignments have been released by customs under seal 9. Follow up on refunds of various Clients and ensure all the documentations are okay before lodging. 10. . Organize and coordinate for ofense compounding in cases where extra revenue is payable. 11. Organize for scanning and transfer of containers to Verification area before 12. actual verification. 13. . Any other duty assigned by the supervisor/HOD
Main duties performed:
-Lodgingof C-26 for dry cargo from MSA, JKA and ICD at KRA
-Preparationof C-26
-Followup of C-26 lodged at KRA
-Liaisingwith border stations on rejected C-26 from KRA
-Givinga weekly report on the Bonds cancellation to the Operations Admin Manager, Customs Risk Manager, Tax Consultant, Customs Support officer and other parties concerned.
-Anyother duties given by HOD
