I am responsible in my Educator role for preparing a curriculum, based on the needs of new-hired Registered nurses from many differing countries, and introducing them to our Hospital Policies & Procedures relating to their role as RN. I also facilitate training in their respective clinical wards/depts. in topics relevant to their area of clinical practice. I also in my role as CPR Co-ordinator attend Code-blue events, and arrange mock-code blue drill schedules and critique same, on a monthly basis I attend code-blue committee as member and present my report on pre-ceding months Hospital code-blue events, and discuss each case in-depth, regarding the patients clinical outcome, and identify any issues relating to emergency equipment/drugs/timeliness of response etc.
I was Emergency services Manager for a large tertiary care and referral hospital in Tripoli Libya. I had three in house unit managers in \[Obs/gyne/Peds/Adult emergency\] and I had overall responsibility for all three divisions of the ER. Including interviewing of new staff, appraisals, training of all clinical staff \[Medical/Nursing/support\] in all aspects of emergency care including Triage, Resuscitation/Trauma management to ATLS standards.
I was a trainer to a wide variety of students \[Teachers, health care professionals, support staff, and school recreation staff\] I taught BLS/ ACLS/ PALS/ up to Provider standard, using the AHA / ERC guidelines.
I was in day to day clinical charge nurse of a very busy ER dept. I was responsible for providing Emergency cover to the dept. which included Obs/gyne/Peds/ Adult emergency care services to a large catchment area in Eastern province of Saudi arabia. It was further my role to include staff alocation to the various areas, being mindful of the 'skill-mix"required of all clinical and support staff on duty.
I received a reduction in length of my course due to prior academic study.
