- Rotated on different departments in the HQ such as: HR, Training and development, Compensations and benefits, Recruitment, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance and Corporate Development.
- Rotated on different departments in the plant located in Banisweif such as Quality, Production, Maintenance and Utilities.
- Currently working as an Engineer in the R&D and Planning department.
Where some of my tasks:
- Made the yearly Demand & Supply for the refractories for the Banisweif plants.
- Calculating the OEE, yield, total production and performance of all the plants and comparing with the plan.
- Computing the delays/downtime of the Banisweif plant and try to find the major bottlenecks and study ways to optimize the process to decrease the downtime and increase productivity.
- Made a technical/feasibility study for the implementation of a lime plant that can cover the lime needs for the Banisweif & Sokhna plant.
- Making the material balance.
- Optimization of the process.
- Reverse Engineering.
- Created a database for all the steel standards and compared them with the steel produced by ES to identify the main strengths or weaknesses of different steel samples in all the ES plants.
- Used this database to pinpoint the distinctive specifications of the steel produced and compare it with the different standards/other steel in the market.
- Made some presentations to different high profile steel customers to show and prove these distinctive specifications and how it could be beneficial for them as it can help them in cost reduction.
- Made a technical/feasibility study alongside an outsourced company to implement an Energy Management System (EMS) in the HQ building and in the plants which includes PV cells, centrally control units for HVAC units and lighting systems.
- Made a full technical/financial study for the implementation of HSLA (High Strength Low-Alloy steel) in the Banisweif plant and how it can be profitable to both Egyptian Steel and the customer.
- Responsible for the designing of mounting structures for PV cells using Solidworks.
- Contacting the Aluminium companies to arrange meetings in order to manufacture the parts needed.
- Responsible to go to manufacturers with the design to help with the manufacturing.
- Monitor the installation of the PV cells along with the mounting structures.
