• Performs and assist Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Advance Cardiac Life Support
• Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocol
• Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements
• Collects current symptoms, as well detailed history of the patient and then consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse
• Provide skilled nursing care such as iv insertion, change of dressings, naso-gastric tube insertions and catherization, etc
• Hospice care
• Works directly under physicians, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing and treatments
• Facilitate blood transfusion, Eletro-cardiogram and Administer chemotherapy regimen
• Transfer critical or non critical patients via ambulance to other Hospital and other health institutions
• Maintains proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment to care for patients
• Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication and rehabilitation, as well as provides referrals to other healthcare professionals for follow-up treatment
• Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner
• Supervise the nursing assistant and midwives in the implementation of the different Department Of Health programs
• Implement the different health programs of the Department Of Health such as Maternal and child health, Control of acute respiratory tract infection, Control of diarrheal disease, Tuberculosis control and Dengue control
• Attend to immunization or well-baby clinic
• Attend in morbid cases
• Compiles statistical information, maintains records and prepared reports for use in evaluating health care needs, planning health care programs, and evaluating effectiveness of existent health care programs.
• Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
• Work with compassion and tender loving care among clients, family and environment.
