• Assist with the admission and discharge of the patient who will undergo Surgery or Endoscopy
• Schedules appointment for surgery and endoscopy cases
• Ensures safe and clean environment for patients and co-workers
• Follows the assigned facility restraints, policies and procedures.
• Performs nursing task as directed (vital signs, collection of specimen)
• Assist physicians in Endoscopy cases such as Peg tub insertion, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP.
• Assist physicians in Surgery such as general surgery cases minor operations, ent, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, dental as scrub nurse or circulating nurse.
• Recover post-operative patients
• Monitor and orders supplies needed in the unit.
• Carry out responsibilities such as handling and recording medical records and reports of patients
• Cleaning and handling of scopes (Endoscopy) before and after the procedure.
• Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action pre-operative or post operative.
• Work as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests or treatments and explain procedures.
• Medication administration, I.V. Cannulation/Therapy.
