- co-ordinate and supervise sub-contractors on site (manage the program of works);

Duties and responsibilities (not limited):

- ensure contractor are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and
schedules;

- Developing baseline programs, monitoring and updating progress, progress reporting, plus reviewing programs in existence;

- Establishing and implementing robust project controls and accurate reporting and forecasting;

Duties and responsabilies (not limited):

- Develop, formulate, and recommend contract terms and conditions for material, equipment and service contracts;
- Recommend changes to improve contract terms, conditions and procedures;
- Analyze contractor cost proposals;
- Chair, conduct, and supervise negotiations of contracts involving material, equipment, services and any modifications thereto;
- Review and recommend for approval the issuance of contract modifications;
- Review and evaluation of technical and price proposals on negotiated procurements, and recommends action to be taken;
- Served on Contractor Evaluation Boards, as required;
- Reports on contract status, cost effectiveness of contracts and manages the contract process to service level agreements;

Program: Planning and Financial Decentralized Program
Duties and responsibilities (not limited):
- Liaise at the Provincial Directorate of Public Works and Distrital Planning and infrastructure Services level for upstream support
to local management and in the implementation of best practices on public works management;
- Advise on public works management matters within the Provincial Directorate and other provincial key entities;
- Prepare and present a plan for medium term capacity development of local Provincial and district councils on public works
management matters;
- Identify gaps in public works sector expertise and identify solutions, collaborating with the Ministry of Public Works, Provincial
Directorate and District Infrastructure Services as well as key provincial entities, to develop mid and long-term strategic plans;
- Deliver training sessions for Provincial directorate and Disctric infrastructure Services staff members on public works
management matters;
- Provide support in the establishment of Procurement cabinets at Provincial Directorate and provincial key entities;

Duties and responsibilities (not limited):

- Coordinating and evaluating projects in own domain, ensuring a high quality of deliverables;
- Managing and developing staff members in the Infrastructure Services Unit, in collaboration with the Head of Division, to achieve
the strategic objectives and implement the work programme of MRA infrastructure as a whole;
- Coordinating, supervising and delivering infrastructure services across MRA south region;
- Managing existing contracts and business relationships with the contractors. Establish Terms of Reference for new contracts
when appropriate;
-Coordinating the unit team and external technical experts and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and according to
requirements;

Duties and responsabilities (not limited):

- Work with architects, engineers, and keys specialists in coordinating and developing construction documents;
- Assists the top Manager in writing scopes and buying out the project;
- Assist the top managers with managing contractors’ requests for payment and assist accounting department as needed for bank
submissions. Work with construction lenders engineering inspectors or representatives;
- Research, investigate, and propose new products and methods of construction, as well as value engineering;
- Submit plans and work with permitting consultant to obtain building permits from local municipalities/entities;
- Maintains historical set of plans and specifications, documents RFI’s on plans and specs;
-Coordinate, review, and distribute for approval all the shop drawings between contractor, architect, key specialists and
MRA/customs infrastructure Unit;
-Review shop drawings and assures that subcontractors and suppliers have a full scope of work, that the building components fit
into their respective places, the information shown on shop drawings noted “by others” are actually covered under another
sub/suppliers scope of work;
- Maintain permit and inspection logs;
-Writes meeting minutes and assures that they are distributed;
- Assures that project close-out documents are maintained as the project progresses;
- Compiles and verifies costs for Change Order requests for review by Top Managers;
- Sends Requests for Proposals to subcontractors and suppliers generated from responses to RFI’s, marked up shop drawings,
Construction Change Directives, changes in the work, etc;

BP Mozambique construction projects

Duties and responsibilities (not limited):

- Collaborate with CAD technicians, field technicians, designers, and other team personnel to complete projects efficiently and
accurately;
- Assist the Senior Project Manager in estimating and tracking project costs;
- Coordinate the preparation of reports;
- Assist in coordination of report production and development of engineering designs and specifications;
- Perform quality control (QC) checks;
- Prepare daily QC reports, maintain field notes and photo documentation as required;
