PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construction of Qatar Petroleum’s World-class ship repair yard that caters construction and maintenance of a wide range of marine vessels and offshore structures.
Scope of works consist of the Engineering and Supervision of Construction of Onshore Works and Marine Works.
The scope of Onshore Works having an area of 40 hectares consisting mainly of the construction of number of gigantic facilities (120 - 180 m long) i.e., Superyacht & Small Ships Construction Buildings, Steelworking Facility, Steel Stockyards, Warehousing/Storage Facilities, Fabrication/Laydown areas, Block blasting/Painting cells, large Subcontractors' Facility, multi-level Office and Amenities Buildings, 20 hectares concrete pavements, Electro-mechanical infrastructures and Electrical/mechanical works.
The scope of Marine Works consisting mainly of the construction of two Dry Docks (400/360m long), two travel lifts with 1, 100t lift capacity, total 2.4 km Quays and Piers, 75, 000 ton TLC x 400m long Q-Max Floating Dock Infrastructure, 20, 000 ton TLC x 150 m long Load-out Recovery Barge, 14 numbers Mooring & Stand-off Pontoons, and marine related Mechanical and Electrical works.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Verification and certification of the re-measurement of work done by Contractors recommended by Consulting Quantity Surveyors
(2) Review and certification of Payment Certificates of contractors and consultants.
(3) Provide associated advice to consultants and contractors pertaining to comments and approval of payment certificates.
(4) Prepare and submit monthly report of the approved Change Order Requests of the entire project to the Project Director.
(5) Maintain records of quantities of works undertaken by consultants, contractors and suppliers.
(6) Prepare/review and finalize the Bill of Quantities of variations and recommend the processing and issuance of Work Change Requests.
(7) Verification and certification of Contractor’s Variation Order Request.
(8) Maintain the monthly updating of Change Management Register of the entire project.
(9) Monitor damage reports and maintain record of potential back charges to parties involved.
(10) Provide support to all claims related and commercial negotiations as required.
(11) Prepare cost estimates of approved Work Change Request.
(12) Review, consolidate and finalize the Asset Capitalization Schedule of the entire project.
(13) Prepare and report the applicable Liquidated Damages.
(14) Prepare and report the Statement of Final Account of the closed-out contracts.
