Play a lead role in developing, planning, and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and best practices in line with University policy
Co-ordinate and manage the arrangements as required for the recruitment and selection of staff (both academic and administration) including participation in interviews as appropriate
Consult with managers and supervisors on writing and developing job descriptions to meet staffing needs.

Provide oversight of time reporting practices and business processes within the University to assure accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate with University Central Offices in implementing new business processes within the unit and suggest opportunities for improvement or change.
Actively participate in University-level committees or working groups focused on HR service delivery, business systems, and business process improvement.
Assure that HR transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner in the work unit with attention to data integrity
Provide supervision and oversight of assigned HR and administrative support staff including hiring, coaching, training, work assignments, and managing performance.

1. Advises students, faculty, and staff on a variety of issues related to assigned academic programmatic area; evaluates students and/or applicants to determine program progress, program adherence, and/or other related issues; and maintains related student files
2. Provides information to students, parents, school liaisons, and/or other applicable individuals regarding available courses, programs, registration processes, and/or other related areas
3. Analyzes a variety of complex data and information, including student database information; summarize findings in reports

6. Supervise staff including: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
7. Monitor and administer a budget by submitting justifications for budget items, and monitoring program expenditures
