AML area
• Collaborate and lead a team specialized in AML/CFT efforts by monitoring customer daily transactions to avoid any suspicious transactions that could lead to fines/ penal actions and to ensure that the bank is not exposed to financial, regulatory and reputational risk related to Money laundry and Sanctions.
• Act as the MLRO money laundering reporting officer in terms of account opening (AO) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) practices to ensure that detailed and prompt investigation of all AML/Sanctions incidents and cases for the reporting of suspicious activity process.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies on a continuous basis to resolve the queries and respond to issues raised by them relating to the bank’s AML/ CFT efforts.
• Perform gap analysis of systems and controls with leading practices and regulatory requirements, and recommend areas of improvement at a strategic level.
• Establish, enhance procedures, policy the AML/CFT Framework to meet the regulatory standard and FATF recommendations.
• Risk ranked customers based on the major AML/CFT requirements.
• Work with senior business in new product approval work streams, to raise AML issues and to address any monitoring enhancements that are triggered by new products or changing business models.
• Implemented an effective AML/ KYC training program for staff in various business units.
• Response to the AML Questionnaires of the corresponding Banks, as well as reviews the received one from the corresponding Banks & Tele Cash Companies.
FATCA area
• Assist the RO with all aspects of FATCA.
• Act as an official “Point of Contact”, to receive from the IRS FATCA- related information.
• Monitors and analyzes development of reporting requirements (FATCA).
• Participate in reviewing policies, procedures and processes sufficient to comply with the FATCA rules.
