I am responsible for day to day operation of the Company’s readymix division, which include increasing a market share where there are over 60 ready mix companies operating in Doha, from just under 2.0% to 3.5%. I am also responsible for the implementation of KPI‘s to reduce cost in operations and waste management.
GIBCA is a UAE company established in 1975. As a group it has diversified its activities in the areas of manufacturing, contracting, project development, overseas investment and distribution.

Position held responsibilities:
To establish Gibca Qatar as a legal entity and to develop a market strategy and business plan to increase sales of the Group’s UAE based manufacturing companies in Qatar. Also to manage the day to day operations and contractual obligations in installation works that is ongoing and will continue as the Company increases its market share. The three divisions or companies that I am responsible for promoting and overseeing their Qatar operations are as follows:
Arabian Profile: The Company specialises in design, manufacture, supply and installation of roof and wall cold roll formed cladding, single and rigid foam sandwich panels, composite and honeycomb panels, GRP and GRC composite structures and elements and also providing total design solutions to the building industry.
AIL Industries: The Company specialises in manufacturing of decorative architectural casting in aluminum, brass and bronze gates, fences, balustrades, screens and decorative street lighting.
Gibca Furniture Industry: The Company manufactures, designs and supplies wet area cubicles and locker systems, wall cladding, acoustic movable walls and glass partitions and outdoor furniture.
2011 - Present SMEET Ready Mix (Qatar)
SMEET Ready Mix was established in 2010 by Qatari Diar Real Estate
Investment Company, Barwa Real Estate Company and First Investor.
Over the last three years it has become a market leader and is ranked as third largest readymix company in Qatar. The company operates from two
Locations, the Industrial Area and Lusail, employing over 350 personal.

Responsibilities Over the last 2 years I have been responsible for day to day operation of the
Company's readymix division, which included increasing a market share where
there are over 50 readymix companies operating in Doha, from just under 4%
7.5%. Also responsible for the implementation of KPI's to reduce cost in operations and waste management.
Due to low materials stocks available in Qatar, I was responsible for the sourcing, negotiation and set up of regular imports of aggregate from the U.A.E. to ensure that the required material quality and quantity was guaranteed to our customers whilst also providing a cost saving to the Company.
I was also instrumental in recommending and obtaining the approval from both management & the CEO to invest in a purpose designed concrete dispatch software that included GPS tracking of vehicle's, order management, sales, invoicing, laboratory (quality control) and inventory management in order to manage both the Company's growing fleet and customer's demands more efficiently.
2005 - 2011 Arabian Mix Company (Qatar)
Arabian Mix is part of the Al Ghurair Group of Companies which comprises of ready mix operations in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. As a leading producer in both regions, the company has supplied over 10, 000, 000 m3 of Readymix concrete and the company operates a fleet of over 200 mixers, 40 pumps, and 15 batch plants.
Position held: General Manager
Responsibilities As a startup operation in the State of Qatar, I was employed to establish and grow the Company's business in line with the owner's vision and to establish business plans whilst ensuring that all predefined milestones outlined in the business plan were met. As this was a Greenfield Operation, I was also tasked with overseeing all pre-operational activities including licensing, contract preparation, construction, and plant erection as well commissioning.
Other areas of responsibility included: • Recruitment
• Procurement and negotiations.
• Establishment of internal management systems and controls both financial and operational.
Achievements: Exceeded all milestones during startup phase. I also consistently surpassed both annual operational and financial targets by more than 15%. I consistently increased production outputs on a yearly basis despite market trends whilst also establishing the company as one of the top ten leading suppliers within the market.

1989 - 2005 Ready Mix Gulf Limited
Ready Mix Gulf is the Lafarge Group ready mix company operating throughout the northern United Arab Emirates with plants located in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
Area Manager (Dubai Region) 1999 - 2003
Responsibilities: Area Manager (Dubai Region)
In 1999, this position was created as a profit center for the Company's new area plant which, resulted in the following responsibilities being undertaken:
• Planning & achieving an aggressive sales plan to double turnover within 24 months.
• Qualifying the company with the top twenty consultants for new tenders.
• Achieving a 20% reduction in debtors.
Responsibilities: Operations Manager (Sharjah Region)
In 1991 I was promoted to manage the Company's three production plants and workshop operations with over forty delivery vehicles and pumps.
Responsibilities included the preparation of: • Long and Short Term Budget and Forecasts.
• Capital expenditure recommendations.
• Assessment of monthly cash flow.
• Monthly progress reports.
• Monthly commercial vehicle reports and equipment assessment
• Monthly credit control reports.
• Cash flow forecasts and financial reports.
Other Areas of responsibility included:
Quality Management Representative: Responsible for the Company's accreditation to ISO 9001:1994 which was achieved in 1997 by Vincotte International. Duties included: • Meeting external auditors to plan long term accreditation.
• Documenting existing procedures.
• Preparation of the company's manual and all necessary forms.
• Continual improvement and system management.
Design and Construction of New Plants and Offices (Dubai - 1994),
(Ajman - 1999)
• Layout, design and liaising with architects.
• Assessment, recommendation and purchase of suitable batching plants.
• Overall supervision and approvals regarding all sub-contractors.
Responsibilities: Plant Manager of DUBAL Site
I was employed to manage this purpose built site for Dubai Aluminum Company's expansion project, a fast tracked project. I was responsible for all aspects of the project, which included: • Quality control of this high specification, temperature controlled concrete project.
• Liaising with the client and project consultant.
• Project scheduling and complete financial costing.
• Technical and sales control.
• Quarterly report to management.

Responsibilities: Company Operations Manager-
At the end of 2002, following the Company's decision to expand in order to maximize profitability and market share, I undertook every aspect of operations from the acquisition of all new equipment and personnel, to overseeing maintenance, ensuring the smooth running of all plants and production equipment as well as establishing and achieving an aggressive sales plan to double turnover within 24 months.
Other Areas of responsibility included: • Quality Management Representative for ISO 9001 to which I was instrumental in updating the Company's System Manual and System Procedures in accordance with the latest ISO 9000:2000. Certification. This was achieved in February 2004.
• Sourcing and set up of a Water Waste Treatment Plant complying with Dubai Municipality Environmental's directive.
• All training and induction courses for all levels of production personnel.
1987 - 1989 Gibca Contracting Limited
Position held: Site Manager
Responsibilities: Site management of civil contracts including the Ajman Souq Shopping Centre Project and several Eppco Petrol Stations. Amongst the major achievements, was the set up of the Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) site factory which, at a later stage became a division considered a leader in the Gulf Today.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the complete set up of an Automated Fiber Glass Production Line to produce fiber glass sheets of a uniform thickness. The firm specialised in permanent shuttering such as the Sharjah/Dhaid Road Interchange Bridges. Responsibilities included: • Disassemble of factory, packing, and reassembly in the U.A.E.
