Monitoring, Implementing International ESHMS Procedures, Policies, Leading and Coordinating in various ESH Audits & Inspections (both internal and external). Inspecting and evaluating workplaces for health, safety and environmental hazards, recommending and implementing practicable and most applicable international safe workplace procedures.
Establishing and maintaining HSE Training Plan for Company employees-frontline & executives & Contractors and conducting Specific ESH Training & Awareness.
Evaluation and selection of Contractors on ESH matters, Review and approve Contractor’s ESH Documents and participating in various ESH research studies with multiple project Teams
Accident/Incident Analysis, Investigation and reporting, Emergency preparedness, Evacuation and conducting emergency Mock drills
Implementing & Maintaining ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 & ISO 45001:2018 ISO 27001:2013 ISMS & ISO 20000-1:2011 ITSMS and ISO 41001:2018 Facility Management systems & Documentation. Conversant with all industry’s applicable ES&H Local and international codes, Procedures and standards
Conduct monthly audit visits to various facilities.
Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
Responsible for implementation of health and safety risk mitigation measures.
Remote support for Health & Safety related duties in facilities in Middle East & Africa region with periodic on site audit visits.
Report regularly to Group's Health and Safety Steering committee
Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
Initiate and organize Health & Safety training of employees and executives, tool box talks
Ensure reporting and investigation of any HS incidents or accidents
Preparing emergency plan and conducting mock drills as per the schedule in place
Support the development of Health & Safety policies and programs
Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to management
Ensure Company’s Environment, Safety & Health regulations are applied in all Company areas and provide advice on all applicable ESSH matters.
Review ESH reports and recommendations made by subordinates, discuss it in daily meetings with seniors, where appropriate, and suggest amendments.
Establish and maintain an ESH Training Plan to clearly identify training requirements for all company and contractor employees. Carries out ESH training (Induction, Awareness and ESH refreshers) and promotional programs to Company & Contractor employees as scheduled and taking required action for implementation of such programs.
Conduct Monthly ESH Meeting with Contractors and follow up. Review and approve Contractor’s ESH reports & ESH Documents etc. where applicable
Coordinate in preparing weekly/ monthly /Quarterly Team performance reports and present to management as required.
Participating in incident/accident investigation and taking applicable precautionary measures to avoid recurrence with reference to correction, corrective and preventive procedures as per the PDCA cycle.
Review & Approval of ESH incidents (Such as Hazardous conditions) are reported and follow up the recommendations given.
Coordinate in various ESH audits and ensure due compliance to all action requests.
Participate in ESH studies with third party insurance consultants and follow up with recommendations given.
Responsible for developing and implementing organizational safety programs. Review and update ESH policies and conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.
Ensure safe environmental working conditions for all employees; prevent accidents, infections, injuries and property loss due to natural causes or daily life circumstances.
Evaluate the workplace environment and develop safety-management policies that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees.
Organize/Coordinate/Conduct Training Programs to continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the organization.
Investigate Workplace Incidents, establish the causes and recommend preventive action against a recurrence. Detecting weaknesses in the safety management program.
Ensure Workplace tools and equipment meets the standards as defined by OSHA and other applicable international statutory bodies
Preparing monthly reports for Regional reporting on Incidents, Serious Incidents and Fatalities etc.…
Recommend control measures and advise on the standard of PPE issued to employees
Conduct Environment, Safety & Health Inspections and prepare reports of the employee’s Camps, Offices and workplaces/sites.
Providing technical assistance to ESH for pre-qualifications, technical bids and submittals
Plan, Coordinate & Control the activities of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Department towards directing adequate ESHQ and loss control programs in the plant including developing, upgrading, establishing and ensuring implementation of safety codes, accident prevention and Environment Protection Control Programs.
Providing professional advice and assistance to Plant Management on fire prevention, security control, pollution control and loss control technology and coordinate such activities with Government authorities, ensuring adequate coverage and observance of procedures in handling fire, accidents, environmental pollution, security and other emergency situations.
Investigate the root causes of accidents/incidents in fire & promote the safety actions.
Check the loss prevention specifically controlling, stock, cash and other company assets investigate suspected embezzlement or theft by employees & provide operations management with specialized expertise in loss prevention.
The ESH department focal point in most project design review, including HAZMAT, HAZOP, lay-out reviews of facilities, technical safety review and Hazard/Risk analysis studies, providing technical safety advisory services for all safety related systems for the facilities
Working as a volunteer to various Hospitals, organizations, Colleges and Universities in Africa, GCC region
