Assess the creditworthiness of the bank’s corporate and retail portfolio, valued at approximately $460 million, and provide independent
recommendations as a member of the sub-credit committee for Oman branches.
• Analyze the full credit life cycle of credit files, from origination through collection to write-off and recovery and manage restructuring
and rescheduling plans in coordination with the recovery team.
• Monitor customers early warning indicators, evaluate the credit performance of potential problematic accounts and worked on regular
reports for business units to ensure proper action plans were in place to address any issues at an early stage and to examine customers’
credit classifications.
• Lead the credit administration team, ensuring timely delivery of tasks for optimum customer satisfaction, and retention.
• Crafted the SME lending policy, the write off policy and assisted in the development of the bank’s credit manual and credit risk policy
along with several term sheets, thereby redefining the purpose and structure of the bank’s committees and their responsibilities.
• Developed the full loan deferral process required by the Central Bank of Oman during and after COVID-19 era and monitored its
implementation. Designed procedures and initiated agreements for newly launched retail loans.
• Streamlined the entire lending process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Managed schemes, including enrollment,
upgrades, downgrades, segmentation, performance monitoring, risk appetite definition, and setting various caps on portfolios, products,
and segments.
