Ministry of Presidential Affairs
Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA) is a key health-care provider in Northern Emirates of UAE. It is managed by Global Health Partner from Sweden. The medical city comprises a number of CoE (Center of Excellence) under its umbrella. The facilities offer specialty healthcare services with focus on pediatrics, orthopedics, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, diabetes and lifestyle. The facilities include a range of clinical services including, but not limited to: Radiology, Laboratory services, Pharmacies, Endoscopy suite and several Operating theatres.
SKMCA is comprised of the following Specialist Hospitals and Primary Health Centers:
•Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital
•Sheikh Khalifa Women and Children Hospital
•Rashid Center for Diabetics and Research
•Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital - Masfout
•LAIQ Primary Health Screening Centers.
Roles and Responsibilities
Recruited to set IT strategy/direction, establish industry-recognized practices and implement key fundamental processes. Responsible for medical city wide healthcare technology and project management. Spearheaded the team in 2015 as its core team member. Contributed towards the setup and the business plan of the medical city. The project includes Greenfield Hospital as well as 3 existing Hospitals. Major tasks involved are setting up the Greenfield Hospital and taking over the existing hospitals from Ministry of Health.
•Set strategic infrastructure direction within 2 months; implemented in 6 months. This included replacing internal infrastructure eliminating obsolete technology, disaster recovery, and addressing security issues.
•Developed strategy for reducing Healthcare Technology Investments by 60% while increasing functionality.
•Set strategies for HIS/LIS/RCM and HR systems; initiated a two-year optimization of Centralized Hospital Information System
•Developed and managing multi-million budget and staff located in 4 locations.

•Implemented a centralized HIS/LIS/RIS PACS across all hospitals focusing towards HIMSS Level 7 and JCI - Cerner HIS.
•Implemented and went live successfully the regions first Healthcare AI (Artificial Intelligence) radiology system
•Implemented a paperless environment with HIS/ERP integration.
•Implemented SAP Business Objects for Business Intelligence on HIS
•Increased efficiency of IT team drastically by implementing projectized organization structure. Reduced the projected manpower by 25% through matrix organizational structure that allowed for responsive shift of experts to meet user needs.

ZAP is a small-scale software development firm focusing on healthcare sector (Clinics and Laboratories). Joined the team as a junior software developer. My role was to document the workflows in clinics and then to convert them into use cases. Once the module is developed, test scripts were run on the system. We developed one of the pioneer Clinic Management Software in Mumbai regions.
