Inspecting all raw materials upon receipt and ensuring proper storage in their respective yards.
Grading of the raw materials by attribute method to ease blending and achieve set quality targets before feeding material into the production system.
Ensuring correct method of sampling of the raw materials is done and followed by chemical tests like moisture content, ash test, bulk density, insoluble residue, sieve analysis etc to evaluate quality as per lab standards and procedures.
Giving guidelines and blending ratios to process people regarding all materials being fed to the production system, so as to minimize failures in the production process and assure constantly high quality product.
Providing necessary information to different departmental heads for quality problem solving through testing of samples to assist in trouble shooting.
Routine tracking of incoming and in process material on hourly basis so that any variations in quality can be monitored and reporting the same to process department so that necessary action taken immediately.
Performing analysis of finished products to check their conformity to national standards (KEBS) and customer needs as well for raw materials and in-process materials by x-ray analysis, wet chemistry and gravimetric analysis.
Development and constant improvement of analytical testing methods.
Ensuring accuracy of lab tests results by confirming accuracy of lab equipment and calibration by KEBS as per ISO 9001:2008.
