• Performs all clerical and secretarial duties required in each department assigned to.
• Maintains the filing system, policy and procedure book, and other administrative and personnel records.
• Participates in departmental staff meetings
• Copies and distributes department correspondence and other materials.
• Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
• Proper documentation as per the policies and procedures.
• Receives new manuscripts through online and mail.
• Screens manuscripts to ensure it complies with S.M.J. standards.
• Feeds manuscripts in the databases.
• Re-checks and follows up the pending requirements with the authors.
• Received incoming articles and process them electronically, ensuring the uniform use of American, English and Medical Terminology and forward them for review, language check, copy editing and any further editing required by the Assistant Editor.
• Incorporate Editorial and Author’s amendments.
• Transfer data into desktop publishing environment and format data according to editorial requirements.
• Prepare graphs/charts based on date received from authors, transfer electronically and incorporate within the desktop publishing software.
• Scan graphic material and photographs and transfer them electronically to desktop publishing software.
• Provide hard copy to Editorial staff for review and final editing and incorporate any editorial comments.
• Provide final format for hardware to Printers for laser and film for publication of Journal.
• Responsible for the updating of journal issues electronically for the Journal’s Web site and for National Library of Medicine (NLM). Correspond to authors via telephone, fax and e-mail regarding proof of details for publication.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Filing approved and declined manuscripts

• Utilizes IMAC Programs such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign CS
• Utilizes operating systems such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Control and organize all forms of referrals received on daily basis.
• Revise UCAF’s being filled up with the right information.
• Verifying patient’s insurance details.
• Submitting approval requests to the insurance companies.
• Update the HisGENx (system) with the request process.
• Follows up approvals status if it is approved or disapproved or need further details.
• Notifying patients with their requests status through SMS.
• Participates in departmental staff meetings.
• Performs all other duties as required or assigned.

Prepares all Personnel Action and Requisition Forms to include distribution of copies of job descriptions, leave, travel and return from leave forms.
Prepares abstracts, slides, manuscripts, posters and other related items.
Covers secretarial duties in the Human Resources Department when not assigned in other departments.
Covers in other areas of Human Resources as needed.
Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
Proper documentation as per the policies and procedures.
Supports the mission and values of KKESH. Meets performance expectations described in this performance appraisal document. Follows the hospital policies and procedure including dress code, non-smoking policy, sick leave, etc.
Prepares the needed tools for the scheduled operations
Daily filling up Dental Log Forms for the Doctor's reference
Creating Patient Log Forms
Filing Patient's record after treatment
Sterilizing Dental Instruments in a proper manner
Monthly and Yearly Inventory of Dental Instruments
Encodes all Sales Representative Reports on daily basis
E-mail and Letter Correspondence
Issuing daily Checks for collection
Segregating and filing documents
Submitting Weekly Consolidated Reports to the GM
Attending Company Seminars on a monthly basis
