Main project features: The total project length is 20 Kms of 33 meters wide roads or bridges. Composed by South approach to main bridge (1100m) including 1000 metres of viaduct and 100 meters embankment, plus 9900 meters of extra dosed stay cable bridge with 65 towers and spans of 150m, plus 10000 meters of roads composed by 2500 meters of viaducts and 7500 meters of 33 meters wide embankment road with average high 5 meters. The foundations type is 18x10 meters well foundations for the main bridge (53 m deep) and 38 meters deep 1200 mm diameter piles for the viaducts. The project has 5 interchanges and 2 toll plazas. The project is EPC type. Value of the construction equal to 500 millions USD
Activities performed: Supervision Team Leader for the team of 80 engineer and supporting staff. He is taken active part in the review of the design, cable stay procedures and approval, post tension procedures and approval, land acquisition matters, definition of the high flood level, and definition of the junctions.

Project: Construction of Okavango Stay Cable River Bridge in Mohembo village in Botswana
Main project features: The whole superstructure of the bridge is composed by the Left Bank Approach Bridge ( 4 spans with a total length 2x32.75+2x45=155.50) the Cable Stay Bridge (central span length equal to 200 meters and two compensation spans of 100 meters each) and the Right Bank Approach Bridge (14 spans 2x32.75+12x45= 605.50 meters).
The cross section is a combination of two longitudinal steel beams and concrete deck with a total width of 12.4 meters.
The stay cable bridge is made by two pylons (tower 1 left and tower 2 right) where anchorage 72 stay cables.
Activities performed. The bridge is supervised and designed by CPP and Mr. Domingo reviewed the tender documents, analyzing the original construction procedure and the alternative construction design and procedure proposed by the Contractor during tender stage. These construction procedures and alternative design during tender stage disagree deeply with the construction procedure proposed by the Contractor during construction stage.

Chambal stay Cable Bridge re-construction.
Main project features: The Chambal Stay Cable bridge is made by 15 spans 25 meters each access viaduct plus 700 metes stay cable bridge plus 2 access spans of 15m each. The access spans are made by 10 pre-stressed I beams and the stay cable bridge is a box girder. The construction of the bridge started in 2007 and in 2009 the pylon articulated on the pier rotated over the pier causing the destruction of the half of the bridge. From 2009 to 2012 the bridge was under reconstruction. Due to several problems the reconstruction was almost hold-up in 2012. Now, in 2014 the works seems to re-start again

Relations with the Contractor and with NHAI; progress reports, site meetings, quality control; design review; Contractor review of invoices;Supervision team member. Project: The 3rd Bridge over the Panamá Canal on the Atlantic side is located near to Colón (Panamá) (Stay Cable Bridge).
Main project features:
It’s a concrete reinforced and pos tensioned bridge. The total length of the bridge is 3081m and it’s composed by two viaducts of access to the central stay cable bridge plus the stay cable bridge (79 + 181 + 530 + 181 + 79). The length of the East Viaduct is 1125m (12x45 (launching bridge) + (4x78 balance cantilever) + 74 + 125 + 74 (balance cantilever). The West Viaduct is 906 m long (8x45 (launching bridge) + 8x45 (balance cantilever) + 4x78 (balance cantilever)). The total with of bridge is 21 meters.

The reconstruction and upgrading of the Niono - Goma Coura road is part of AIP and will be part of the new paved road to joint Niono - Goma Coura - Nampala - Lere - Tonka - Goundam and Tombouctou, where the section Tonka - Tombouctou is already build except for the pavement

Vidin -Calafat stay Cable Bridge Project over Danube River (300M $) and the Adjoining Infrastructure to the Vidin-Calafat Main Bridge Project from the Bulgarian side (100M €)
Main Project Features: The Vidin - Calafat bridge is a new bridge over Danube river to establish a permanent road and railway connection between Calafat (Rumania) and Vidin (Bulgaria). The second project is the adjoining infrastructure to provide access to the main bridge from the Bulgaria side.
The Vidin - Calafat Bridge is made by a bridge 1392 meters long for the use of the railway and the road traffic plus 400 meters viaduct for the railway traffic. The total length is 1791 meters.
The 1392 meters long bridge is made by five spans in the Danube navigable channel (3x180 meters stay cable spans + 115 meters span + 124 meters span) plus 7x180 meters spans + 1x52 spans on the shallow part of the Danube river.
The bridge cross section is capable to provide four road traffic lines plus one railway track.
The second project is to provide access to the main bridge from the Bulgarian side. This project consists in the construction of 5 kilometers of new 4 lines highway plus 5 kilometers of single line railway. The project includes also the construction of 8 new overpasses on the existing ring road to Vidin. The construction of a new fright station in Vidin and the improvement of the existing Vidin passenger’s station, plus the construction of 4 kilometers of new railway track s from and to the new freight station. The project includes also the updating of the catenaries services plus automatic controls and signalization.
Activities Performed: Advisor to the Bulgarian Administration for the construction of the Vidin - Calafat Bridge (1791 meters long) and the construction of the adjoining infrastructure to access to the Vidin - Calafat Bridge from the Bulgarian Side.
Activities performed: Mr. Domingo was engaged by the designer company (International Engineering Managing consultant IEMC) as Resident Adviser for the Phase 4 IEMC contract, to be a liason between the designer and the Contracts during the construction and to be advisor to the Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU)

Main Project Features: Goundam is located between Tonka and Timbuktu (120km). Diré is on the Niger River facing Goundam. There was no road connecting these populations which are in the Sahara Desert conditions. The project goal was to build a permanent road which will be part in the future of the connection between Bamako (the capital) with Timbuktu.
Activities performed: Team leader for the supervision and redesign or the new road construction between Timbuktu, Goundam and Tonka, and Goundam to Diré. The road is a dirt road located in the Sahara desert boundaries. Design of hydrological solution; location of borrow pits; relations with local authorities and population.

During the road initial setup serious errors were found in the design especially in the position of the new Higuamo Bridge. Consequently the bypass road was totally re-designed and the 100 meters initial Higuamo Bridge had to be redesigned as 320 meters central span stay cable bridge. The final road was designed as 4 lines highway.
