• Inspection, repair and maintainance of diesel electric locomotives i.e DF8B, DF11B, DF7G( 12 and 16 V cylinder engines)
• Inspection and repair of diesel electric engines components during auxiliary, minor, medium and overhaul repair stages (schedule repair)and unscheduled repair i.e breakdowns.
• Inspection of locomotive after runs to detect damaged or defective components (DTRS)
• Performing Engine tunning after repair to ensure all engine technical parameters are meet.
• Complete all repair and maintainance work to company rules

• Lift, move and position components such cylinder heads, turbocharger, pistons, intercoolers etc
• Operating overhead cranes during removing installing engine components e.g turbochargers.
• Implemented preventive maintenance practices and upheld equipment guidelines to avoid failures.
• Update documentation for recordkeeping.
• Diagnose problems with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment using advanced troubleshooting abilities.
