• Review tender and IFC drawings and provide inputs to PM from the constructability point of view
• Review-comment-release of material submittals, FFE, method statements ITPs, O&M manuals etc. against project specifications.
• Review-comment-release of shop drawings, and as built drawings against IFC and IFT drawings
• Provide inputs to baseline and other project programs for scheduling.
• Attend-comment-release Site inspections, mock ups, factory visits, Safety HSE standards, reporting non compliances (CAR / NCR) and issue site memos as per PM instructions.
• Monitoring the project progress and provide feedback in various technical and progress meetings.
• Train and direct junior architects and team members
• Coordinate with other engineering works such as structure and MEP to ensure smooth progress and avoid interdisciplinary clashes
• Coordinate with design team and resolve site queries and provide RFIs responses
• Prepare regular weekly / monthly progress reports. Damages and non-compliance report
• Prepare snag list and follow up for final closure of all snags
• Ensure project progress in line with Local building code - QCS and civil defense QCDD requirements and compliance

At the contractor’s, it is a crucial role to balance between the design intent - execution workability - and contractual demand. As a package in-charge and later as a technical coordinator I was responsible for the correct interpretation of the design intent and justified implementation of the same via shop drawings, RFIs, subcontractor cordinations and various submittals / approvals in order to retain the contractors interest at the same time to make sure of the compliance to the consultant / client requirement.

The 50 years old renowned consultant practice had a huge and reputed clientele especially in the public sector. My role as a senior architect reporting to the director was to make sure of the smooth sailing of the design process with a small but talented team and to ensure the quality design deliverance. This involved competitions, new project bids, conceptualization, client presentations and productions of schematic and working drawings.
The well known Sydney based international design firm trying to establish itself in India comes up with a couple of high end projects across the country. My role as an intermediate level design architect was to cater to the high levels of design standards in the international setup with the company's centralized system and delivering to the needs and compliance of the project and client requirements locally in the country.
EDIFICE is a unique ‘one stop design’ firm with its pan India presence and has a holistic approach to project delivery starting from the conceptual stages to the execution - complete with all engineering inputs coordinated together. Working here as an Architect with an understanding of all the trades of engineering involved in a project was a task. As an architect it was mandatory here to have a good understanding of all trades Architecture - Landscape - Structure - MEP etc. as all of these fall under the same umbrella
The most exciting of all ventures, a personal design firm set up along with a partner. We dealt with small to medium scale projects, ranging from apartment interiors to masterplan proposals. Being a small time firm with a very small team everything with regards to running an architectural organization was part of my scope. Here, the role involved everything from marketing - competitions - market study - design delivery - client meetings - budget - documentation - billing - execution
A dream job at one of the Iconic Indian architects. A hardcore architectural design firm spearheaded by the legendary and world renowned Architect “Charles Mark Correa” . Getting an opportunity to work here itself was an achievement for me. More of a learner here, while working on big and highly reputed projects across the globe, got to understand the core design principals. Understanding the values such as truth and integrity in architecture is what I owe to this place. While working here it was a must to maintain the highest design standards
The Studio deals with large scale projects with an “ultra modern’ or ‘futuristic’ design approach.
As a an architect with a limited experience but good basics, my role was to bridge the gap between the creative futuristic design from the principal designer himself into a more workable and practical one which appeals to the client and can go through the tough regulatory system.
The same had to then go through the working drawing drawings and details which was a task in itself
My first job, a boutique practice with a lead architect and a small team dealt with small to medium size projects. My role here, because of the small team size was in close coordination with the principal architect. The roles and responsibilities here, being a small firm involved everything from designing, detailing, model making, site visits, meetings and coordination. Since the firm had a very nice design approach all my basics here got a good start.
