1. Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned shift including DRA, fire suppression, emergency medical services and hazardous materials response.
2. Schedule personnel for assigned shift to ensure proper coverage and manpower; approves and schedules vacation and other leave request; and prepares timesheet for all personnel.
3. Manages and participates in development and implementation of goals, objectives and priorities for assigned shift; recommends and administer changes in Fire Section policies and procedures.
4. Responds to fire alarms as required by Fire Section Policy; act as Fire & Rescue Team Leader. Performs at the Hazmat “Operations Level” at the scene of emergencies as necessary. Investigates fire incidents of unknown or questionable origin as required.
5. Assist in budget implementation; participates in forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies, and administer the approved budget.
6. Ensures fire team members are physically fit to do their duties by guiding them to do physical activities. Prepares drill scenarios in coordination with shift controller and trains crew on the same. Conduct tool box talk and training for the shift crew and ensures medical check-up of employees for the shift is carried out.
7. Plan and implement training and development programs for Central Fire Brigade employees and company’s Emergency Response Team members.
8. Manage daily activities of Common Fire Training Ground in Ruwais Industrial Area.
1. Responsible of the command and management of the operations function of Mesaieed Industrial City Fire and Rescue Service within the framework of policies and procedures determined by Qatar Petroleum, MIC management and the head of fire.
2. Maximize the use of staff to support the fire related operational needs of MIC fire and rescue service, joint ventures and other end users.
3. Manage and supervise fire crew at shift level on fire related operations.
4. Ensure that routine maintenance of fire appliances and equipment are carried out as per standard operating guidelines.
5. Fire Training Instructor for new recruits & to implement firefighter’s development training plan.
1. Manage and supervise at shift level all activities of firemen, fire tender operators and fire equipment technician related to Emergency Firefighting, Search & Rescue, Salvage and Fire Prevention Services for the benefit of DEWA Operations and Contractors, the local community and its residents.
2. Takes charge of the day-to-day running of a shift. Responsible for ensuring all routine, vehicle checks, training and maintenance are carried out as per Policies, Procedures and Standing Instructions.
3. Process hot work permits and oversees the performance of hot work site pre-inspection and alternative firefighting arrangement in cases of automatic firefighting system failures.
4. Participates as a member of the firefighting team in emergency and exercise situations. Maintains the role of Sector Commander when carrying out Firefighting, Search and Rescue duties ensuring that a dynamic risk assessment is carried out before committing crews.
5. Oversees the carrying out of standby fire-cover in operating areas, the safe driving of fire vehicles by crews in his charge, and check that maintenance of fire-fighting equipment during assigned shifts is not missed.

2. Conduct Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of firefighting equipment, devices and tools such as:
- Fire Extinguishers
- Hose Cabinet/Accessories
- Hose Reels
- Foam / Water Cabinets
- Fire Hydrants
- Automatic Firefighting Systems (CO2 system, sprinkler system, auto deluge systems, FM 200, etc.)
3. Enforcement of the following Fire Prevention/Safety Measures
- Hot work permit
- Fire Protection Impairment Standby Procedure
- Surveillance patrol on hazardous areas
- Alternative Firefighting Arrangement
4. Assist the Sr. Supervisor - Fire in the conduct of Fire Safety Training for DEWA employees
5. Attend Fire Drills and Emergency Evacuation Drills.
1. Monitor all activities and status of SRT personnel and make necessary reports for the Chief, SRT. 2. Respond and act as ground commander as maybe deemed necessary in all firefighting /rescue/ HazMat Incidents and other emergency nationwide. 3. Ensure safety of all rescuers and personnel during conduct of operations. 4. Manage and supervise SRT personnel, maintain effective relationship and carry out training of members 5. Facilitate and supervises the conduct of inspection, test and performance of preventive maintenance of fire engine and apparatus, rescue truck, rescue tools, equipment and accessories. 6. Conduct physical fitness test and skills evaluation of SRT personnel. 7. Act as instructor during conduct of trainings/seminars to other industrial personnel and crew. 8. Perform other task as directed by competent authorities
1. Participate in all special operations and other activities nationwide. 2. Assist the team supervisor in ensuring safety of all crew and act as the safety officer during conduct of operations. 3. Act as supervisor in times of his absence. 4. Bachelor of Science in Public Safety is a 4 years course scholarship grant given by the Philippine Government to those qualified. Graduates for this degree are automatically enlisted as Officers of the Bureau of Fire Protection where I was working before, Police and Jail Management. I graduated with an 88% GPA and number 30 out of 350 class of 2006.
