In charge of all departments ie. Procurement, Production,
Quality, HR, Sales, Warehousing and Distribution.
Setting targets and monitoring performance (formally and
informally) of all responsible personnel through constant
monitoring of production efficiencies in the factory and striving
to achieve optimal operating performance and minimal down
time. Budgeting development, implementation and monitoring, as well
as safekeeping of all Company Agreements, Financial
Instruments, tax compliance etc. through the accounts
department.
Overseeing marketing department, procurement and
Warehousing Department, finished product and dispatch,
financial management, administration and maintenance as well
as farming operations.
Ensuring all areas operate efficiently within agreed financial
budgets and ensure continuous improvement.
+ Purchasing of all materials necessary within the guidelines of
purchase order procedures, to maintain efficient production,
handling and packaging of flour and flour-based products.
+ Controlling stock levels (through line supervisors) of both raw
materials and finished products to ensure efficient response to
product specifications and volume requirements.
« Ensuring (through technical supervisor and maintenance teams)
efficient maintenance of the production plant and buildings,
company vehicles by use of preventative maintenance standards
to ensure minimum breakdown times
« Developing, revising and improving the standard operating
procedures and working practices to ensure compliance with
operational standards.
+ Maintaining the welfare and morale of employees. Ensure
Health and Safety of all subordinates is within the company
guidelines and current national health and safety
legislation/regulations.
«Enforce discipline and effect dismissals as necessary within the
guidelines of the Company Disciplinary Procedure and
Employment Legislation.
+ Overseeing the Selection and appointment of new employees
according to company policy.
+ Ensuring proper emphasis on product quality and
review/develop quality assurance sampling procedures.
+ Ensuring consistent and high levels of customer experience
through the management of production. From input, quality
analysis, distribution and after sales support.
« Reviewing and maintaining effective inventory control system
from inputs through to finished products via pastel system.
+ Developing and ensuring adequate reporting procedures
throughout the Company systems.

+ In-charge of entire in-bound and Out-bound logistics of Unga
Group Holdings
+ Provision of efficient transport logistical support to the Group
(both inbound and outbound)
+ Fleet Management for the entire group, both distribution trucks,
sales vehicles and 3PL vehicles
+ In-charge of contracting and management of third party
(contracted transporters)
+ Ensuring SHE compliance within the Warehouse
«Processing of regulatory permits/licences/certification for grain
(wheat/maize) through government agencies e.g. Kephis,
National Biosafety Authority, Veterinery Medicines Directorate,
Directorate of VET Services, KRA, Kentrade, KEBS/AFA etc.
+ Raw Material planning (forecasting), warehouse management
and distribution.
+ Negotiation of prices / contracts for transporters, suppliers
(both local & international.
«+ Shipping coordination, Imports/Exports documentation, both for
Animal nutrition and Human Nutrition (Travelled widely to
Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania to source maize, soya beans,
figure millet, soya bean meal, wheat & maize by-products
+ Marine Cover and processing marine claims, following through
until claims are settled by the insurance company.
+ Verification/Approving of clearing agents/shipping
companies/suppliers invoices for payment.
+ Procurement of Raw Materials from international suppliers e.g.
premixes, animal health products (VET medicines & acaricides),
ready-made animal feeds etc.
+ Preparation of tender documents, contract formulation and
Implementation.
+ Processing Supplier payments through LC, Bills of exchange, TT
«Preparation of Monthly stock reports and Analysis of
consumption data
+ Preparation of Key Process SOPs and ensuring adherence to the
same.

+ Material planning and preparation of monthly stock reports for
all imported materials and ensuring no stock-outs.
+ Responsible for Handling all the internal and external
communications in the company
+ Negotiation of prices and material costing
+ Responsible for Managing the execution, direction, and
coordination of all transportation matters within the
organization.
+ Fleet management, including tracking, inspection, insurance, R
& Metc.
+ Shipping coordination, Imports/Exports documentation
+ Marine Cover and processing marine claims if any
