*Responsible for creating and installing DSC configuration defining the desired state of the
environment and system.
• Manages and applies configuration using DSC cmdlets, ensuring that all the tenants conform to
the specified settings.
• Reviewed the environment, settings, and domain setups before proceeding with the DSC export
to ensure we cover all the data during the process.
• Export tenant configuration using M365DSC such as (Tenant settings, Policies, Rules).
• Documented every step and data we collected to ensure nothing is missing and to compare the
output with the actual tenant settings.
• Create Excel report to monitor the progress, challenges, and failures of DSC scripts along with
the commands that we used to export the data.
• Sharing progress with clients and management regarding the progress of the cloning and
connecting on a daily call for discussing challenges and issues we face during the process.
• Working on multiple shared jump servers to ensure all the tenants are configured with the same
settings before deploying it on the Production environment.
• Generating reports for cloned and exported data to compare and verify different tenant output.
• Uploading all the details about the configuration and settings exported using DSC on the client
Box server for their visibility.
• Converting generated data into a HTML and CSV format to make it easy to review for the client
and creating word documents with the HTML data screenshot to make things simpler.
• Deploy exported data onto test servers to ensure DSC is not missing any data.
• Export post deployment data to make sure all the settings and configurations are applied
correctly.
• Prepared a final review document with all the process we followed and the data we captured
during the DSC deployment as a runbook for the project.
