Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation and Management:
• Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for the school’s website, newsletters, social media, and other communication materials.
• Ensure that all content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with the school’s mission and values.
2. Social Media Management:
• Manage the school’s social media profiles, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Create and schedule posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
• Analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
3. Media Relations:
• Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to promote the school’s activities and achievements.
• Coordinate media coverage for school events and serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.
4. Internal Communication:
• Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff, students, and parents informed about important news and updates.
• Produce internal newsletters, memos, and bulletins to foster a sense of community and engagement within the school.
5. Event Management:
• Plan and execute communication strategies for school events, including open houses, graduations, and special programs.
• Coordinate photography, videography, and other media coverage for events to ensure comprehensive documentation and promotion.
6. Brand Management:
• Ensure consistent application of the school’s branding guidelines across all communication materials.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive brand voice that reflects the school’s identity and values.
7. Crisis Communication:
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential negative publicity.
• Act as a spokesperson during crisis situations, providing clear and accurate information to the media and the public.
8. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the school administration, teachers, and other staff to gather information and generate content ideas.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners, such as graphic designers, printers, and marketing agencies, to produce communication materials.
9. Reporting and Analysis:
• Track and report on communication and media activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct regular audits of the school’s communication channels to ensure effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.
10. Professional Development:
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and media.
• Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
