Key Responsibilities:
• Developing electrical engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments. Managing the electrical portion of projects through all phases such as planning, design, construction and maintenance.
• Examining/analyzing base and detailed designs, technical specifications and other documents to plan project implementation from inception to completion within time/cost constraints.
• Managing installation and maintenance of the electrical and electro-mechanical systems on stone crushing, asphalt and concrete batching plants, including, but not limited to, calibration of instrumentation equipment, setting of AC drives electric motors protection devices and monitoring the driving components condition using thermal imaging technology.
• Identifying bottlenecks, resolving technical problems in design and construction and conducting delay assessments. Providing project scope and cost effective estimates based on sound electrical designs. Drafting documents including specifications and bill of quantities to ensure unhindered execution of the projects.
• Researching and analyzing a comprehensive list of all cognizable risks and following up with remedial measures for the assigned projects. Ensuring procedural adherence, resolving unexpected technical difficulties by providing appropriate solutions.
• Evaluating, testing, and commissioning electrical systems, equipment, and processes, ensuring that systems and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Demonstrating extensive experience with major electrical equipment:
- transformers, motors, switchgears, MCC, UPS and distribution panels.
- Installation and calibration of Weighbridges of different types and capacities.
- Calibration and repair of Lab Equipment including Concrete Testing Machines and CBR machines.
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair of CAT and Perkins diesel generating sets up to 810KVA.
- Itemization and preparation of the BEME
• Planning and supervising entire work schedule to anticipate contract demands in terms of labour, materials, equipment and technical challenges. Ensuring that all rules, regulations and guidelines have been explicitly followed.
• Conducting and participating in the weekly project/site meetings with the client, sub-contractors to review the progress of project and conduct quality checks.

Zaria Water Supply Expansion Project - Phase 1 Construction Of 150 Mld Water Treatment Plant
Tittle: Design of Cement Silo Filling System and Site Power Supply, Zaria, Nigeria
Cost:US$ 160m (N25, 000, 000, 000)
Project Responsibilities:
• Designed the cement powder handling equipment to transfer the cement that is purchased in 50KGs bags to the storage cement silos on the recently purchased used concrete batching plant.
• Identified the most reliable system that could be used in a Nigerian rural area and also to design an easy maintained control panel that will achieve proper sequenced functions of the system and adequate protection of its electrical components.
• Sizing the generator, cables and the main switchgear feeding the concrete batching plant and all the temporary structures on site.

Zaria Water Supply Expansion Project - Phase 1 Construction Of 150 Mld Water Treatment Plant
Title: Installation and commissioning of KABAG MO60 concrete batching plant, Zaria, Nigeria
Cost: US$ 160m (N25, 000, 000, 000)
Project Responsibilities:
• Installation and commissioning of the MO60 Kabag in-line silo concrete batching plant as well as the new cement handling system. Including connecting and commissioning of the new 320KVA diesel generator and the main switchgear.
• Spearheaded an experienced team of a welder and 2 qualified electricians.
• In charge of all the electrical maintenance of the plant including the periodical calibration. Established preventive maintenance schedule and obtained the strategic spare parts list.
• De-assembled the entire concrete batching plant.
• Reported to the Project Manager.
• Accredited with “Accomplishment Bonus” for successful project completion.

Construction of Governor’s Office at the New Katsina Government House Project, Katsina, Nigeria
Title:Design of Fire Alarm System
Cost: US$ 6.4m (N1, 025, 000, 000)
Project Responsibilities:
• Served as project selection team member, led the project from initiation to create the Project Charter which involved evaluating the project’s selection criteria using cost benefit ratio, opportunity cost, payback period, internal rate of return, etc.
• Designed, created shop drawings, material take-off and price a fire alarm system for the Governor’s office building. Designed the Fire Alarm System. Divided the building into 6 fire detection zones.
• Design and commissioning of the electrical works in the New Governor’s Office, Governor’s Lodge and Presidential Lodge.
• Liaised with various stakeholders to discuss the fire alarm system’s requirements. Developed presentation considering client requirements, perceived that they required a system of category L1. Submitted design and tender accordingly.
• Went beyond the call of duty- even though I was not responsible for the execution of the project, I was actively involved in the life cycle of the project.

• Factory Acceptance Testing for Kaduna State Water Board.
Conducted tests on the project’s equipment which were handed over to the client upon commissioning. The FAT was attended in the UK at I&M Controls in the presence of the Client.

Katsina Shopping Mall Complex: Protection devices discrimination analysis and power cables sizing.

Parker M457 Modification: Conversion of Parker M457 asphalt plant weighing system, Temperature controls and AC drives.

Sandvik Granite Crushing Plant: Erection and commissioning of a 275 MTPH Sandvik Stone crusher in Katsina State, Nigeria.

Weighbridge Installation: Installation of 100 Tons capacity Weightron Bilanciai steel and steel/concrete composite weighbridges.
Zaria Township, Sokoto Bridge, Katsina Road Network: Design and installation of street light.
