Currently, I am working for Egis international as a design coordinator on Ethiopia's largest malt factory, which Soufflet Malt owns. This job has given me firsthand experience of working with international consultants, clients, and several contractors. In my role as a design coordinator, I have managed design coordination of various disciplines assisted preparation of design modifications, controlled variation orders, facilitated communications between clients and contractors, arranged meetings and prepared minutes of the meeting, and solved design problems.
My educational background in architecture and advanced design strategies has helped me solve design problems creatively and efficiently. I have studied for a master's in advanced architectural design (MAAD) and won a scholarship to Germany (Stuttgart state academy of Art and Design) for an urban design research study to grow my knowledge and skill. During my stay in Germany, I have taken a chance to understand values that are different from what I am accustomed to. In my spare time, I have traveled around some of the cities in Europe and was inspired by the limitless potential of human ingenuity and returned to my home country to serve and give back.
