Duties & reponsibilities as Design Manager / Team Leader
Working on Full Turn-Key Projects and Reporting to CEO of the Company.
• Providing direction to the project team ensuring that operational, professional and technical activities are performed consistently in line with organization’s vision, mission, goals and objectives.
• Manage team of in house architects & CAD operators and assign tasks and responsibilities while working within available resource.
• Planing, coordination and direct activities for the design of each project while ensuring that the work assignment meets the specified technical and quality requirements as well as users’ expectations for operational efficiency.
• Providing strategic support in establishing space and design standards and guidelines for application for healthcare facilities.
• Support Users in the development of design briefs and oversee development of space programmes
• Liaise with the planning, construction and project management teams on all aspects of project design.
• Review current processes and systems for further improvements. Implement innovative ideas in order to achieve cost reductions.
• Lead the quality assurance team during construction.
• Review and monitor all schematic design and construction drawings of design office staff as well as drawings produced by in-house MEP engineers and external consultants.
• Serve as a role model; provide leadership and problem solving support to peers, direct reports and to customers.
• Develop ongoing staff training and development programme to foster a learning culture within the department.

Duties & responsibilities as a Member of CORE TEAM directly reporting to PM
PMC staff in controlling overall Project Quality, Safety, Progress and Cost Objectives, as well as to ensure all Project Documentation are properly controlled as per ADNOC requirements.
• Review the contract documents (drawings, specification and advises the Construction Manager of any deficiency.
• Review Contractor's Submits and ensure its compliance with detailed design, contract requirements and properly coordinated with other disciplines.
• Review and approval of Materials ensuring compliance and submitted as per approved project Construction Schedule.
• Ensure prompt and Documented exchange of correspondence.
• Attend Technical Meetings, workshop and progress meetings if required by the Project Manager.
• Regular visits to project site to ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good construction practice, only approved materials are used, compliance with shop drawings.
• Review and approval of Method Statement (MS), Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) prior to start the relevant activities, submitted by the Contractor and ensure its compliance with all contracts requirements.
• Regular spot checks of Material delivered to site to ensure it is as per approved materials and in good condition.
• Closely monitor inspector/architects & engineers performance and advises the Project Manager.
• Participate with 'PMC' disciplines as submitted in reviewing the close Out report as submitted by Contractor.
• Review As-Built Drawings submitted by Contractor
• Make sure that any non-conformity has been reported through a Non Conformance Report (NCR) . All NCRs shall be coordinated with the PMT Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.
