Responsible for managing, supervising and assisting the nursing staff, providing administrative support and patient care.
- Directing the admission, discharge and general flow of patients,
-Assigning nurses and support staff to patients.
- Provide guidance on administering care to new patients or those with special needs and answering questions regarding protocol
- Work with other nurses and patients to create a plan of care that is individualized to a patient's needs.
- Develop and implement training courses and organize seminars to help educate and train new nurses and staff.
- Document the performance of nurses and perform evaluations and counsel nurses on unsatisfactory performance.
-Meet the manager to discuss personnel and administrative issues and address and solve problems among staff.
Directs and manages all the nursing staff, according to the relevant Amen
Private Hospital policies and procedures, assessments and appraisals of
Nursing staff; preparation of working shifts; maintaining the high standard
of nursing skills in the nursing staff at the center in order to contribute in
the optimal nursing care to the overall healthcare services of the patients.
Supervising training for local nursing staff.
Primarily responsible for caring for patients who are brought into the emergency room.
Assess plan, implement, and evaluate the condition of the patient and provide immediate medical intervention to stabilize the condition of the patient who may be suffering due to an acute illness, trauma or any other life threatening medical condition.
Manage and deliver patient care safely and effectively.
Ensure compliance to Standards of Patient Care.
Adhered to JCI, state and local laws and hospital policies.
Supervise and mentor nursing staff.
Educate patients and family about health care.
Skill Requirements: The ER nurse is required to have thorough medical knowledge, knowledge of emergency procedures, must be able to make quick and accurate medical assessments of the patient’s condition, should be able to work long hours, should be able to work under pressure situations.

- Give training for the staff for the new medical equipments.
- Demonstrates & understanding of basic patho-physiology to the disease process.
- Ensures all Investigations/Instructions are carried-out.
- Assist ER and respond to all codes: BLUE, RED, Black and Major Disaster.
- Recognizes, Take appropriate action in Emergency situation
- Demonstrates sensitivity to patients Cultural & Religions.
- Ensures admissions and discharges are documented and supervises the work of nurses in the department.
- Carries out ER nursing duties when resources are limited, including helping with the transit and treatment of injured patients, and consulting physicians to recommend treatment changes
Give primary care in the pre-hospital setting. Responsible for all aspects of care provided to the sick and injured. Provide basic life support, including patient assessment, airway management, and use of the automatic defibrillator and assisting patients with taking some of their own medications.
Responds to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transports the patient to a medical facility. Drives the ambulance to address or location given, using the most expeditious route, depending on traffic and weather conditions. Observes traffic ordinances and regulations concerning emergency vehicle operation.
Responsible for total patient care, including medication, orders and treatments.

Identify patients' age-specific needs and alter care plans as necessary to meet those needs.
Provide post-mortem care
Perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon patients' clinical status.
Evaluate patients' vital signs and laboratory data to determine emergency intervention needs.
Administer blood and blood products, monitoring patients for signs and symptoms related to transfusion reactions.
Administer medications intravenously, by injection, orally, through gastric tubes, or by other methods.

Managing a staff of nurses is one of the main responsibilities for a charge nurse. This includes creating work schedules for each nurse in the department as well as directing the daily activities for nurses. Answering questions from other nurses regarding treatment procedures, medications and special procedures for unique patients. Document the performance of all other nurses within the department and counsel nurses who are lacking in their performance. Lastly, organizing educational seminars and training sessions for nurses to ensure that they are always on the cutting edge of nursing procedures and technologies.
State Diploma in Nursing
