Syngenta Pakistan is the largest MNC operating in the pesticides and seeds business in Pakistan. As the Warehouse Officer of Syngenta’s biggest warehouse in Pakistan (14000 Sq ft), I am performing the following functions:
- Managing an inventory of pesticides (1 million liter volume) and seeds (5000 tons) which is worth USD 40 million;
- Supervising the unloading, receiving, racking and stacking of inbound shipment;
- Supervising the dispatch of customer orders to more than 300 franchisees.
- Reconciliation of discrepancies arising in periodic stock checks through system and physical verification;
- Hiring and managing a team of 20 warehouse personnel which include forklift operators and labour;
- Training and mentoring Junior Warehouse officers to perform their daily responsibilities;
- Maintaining relationships with customers to address their complaints regarding stocks;
- Negotiating rates and conditions with permanent and contractual transporters for outbound shipment;
- Providing periodic analysis on warehouse issues and performance to the management;
- Ensuring the implementation of Health & Safety Environment (HSE) regulations;
Worked as the Accounts officer at the Multan Sales office for a period of 12 months. During the period, I performed the following duties:
- Receiving invoicing and processing of customer orders;
- Providing customer support and handling customer queries related to ledger balances
- Resolving complaints regarding discrepancies in customer ledger balances through reconciliation
- Verification of Expense claims of field staff
Reporting to the Operations Manager, I worked on a special project in Karachi Head office for a period of 12 months. My responsibilities included:
- Coordinating with customer services teams at the seven warehouses across Pakistan to ascertain customer demands and inventory levels.
- Managing the daily dispatches of inventory from the factory according to warehouse requisitions.
- Coordinating with the Product managers and factory management to plan the dispatches of finished goods to the relevant warehouses.
- Logistic management including Negotiations with the transporters to ensure efficient and timely dispatches.
