My Work Description as an Automobile Mechanic

As an automobile mechanic, I inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. I identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and repair or replace defective parts such as engines, brakes, transmissions, steering systems, suspension components, and electrical systems.

I perform routine maintenance services, including changing engine oil, replacing filters, rotating tires, checking fluid levels, and inspecting vehicle safety systems. I use hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment while following manufacturers' specifications and workshop safety procedures.

I keep accurate service records, explain repair requirements to customers or supervisors, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. I also dispose of used oil, batteries, filters, and other hazardous materials according to environmental regulations. My goal is to provide high-quality workmanship, ensure customer satisfaction, and keep every vehicle in safe and reliable operating condition.
