• Handling recruitment and staffing for the Head Office and Network (Eight Branches in Syria)
• Developing the annual HR manpower plan in conjunction with the Corporate Business Plan
• Developed the HR Policy, Employee Handbook, and the Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs)
• Developed, in full coordination with the Management, the career path for the employees in order to qualify them for the succession plan and/or the Institution’s senior/managerial job opportunities
• Coordinating and negotiating the benefits scheme of the employees such as medical & life insurance
• Maintaining the payroll of the employees and monitor the record of deductions, benefits, etc.
• Conducting orientation sessions to the staff for the purpose of raising their awareness and efficiently communicate the rules, regulations, codes of ethics & business conduct and the corporate objectives & strategy.
• Developing the grading system for all branches of the FMFI in Syria on basis of benchmarking the local labour market
• Handling the performance management process and the rewarding system to ensure and enforce the performance-based evaluation and the retention of employees.

• Contributing in the recruitment campaigns of the HQ and nominate Syrian candidates at the managerial level for vacancies available in AWI branches in the MENA Region.

• Handling the performance appraisals and the rewarding system to ensure and enforce the performance-based evaluation, retention of employees, & the deployment of the skilled staff.
• Prepare all job offers to nominated candidates
• Maintain all Personnel Files and follow up all supporting documentation
• Contacting and Following up with recruitment agencies for vacancies required in the office and for the branches in the Region
• Follow up all administrative services of the Office
• Maintain the payroll of the staff members in the Regional Office and monitor the record of deductions, benefits, etc.
• Conducting orientation to all new staff members
• Assisting the Regional HR Manager in the performance evaluation process and establishing the Key Result Area for the staff
• Responsible to coordinate with all branches in the Middle East for reporting all HR issues in their offices and update the Management with these issues, such as new appointments, salary increase, resignations, terminations, etc.
• Assist the Regional HR Manager in following up all HR issues in the Office and in the Branches
• In charge of drafting the outgoing correspondence of the Chairman and all circulars addressed to staff.
• Handle daily schedule of the chairman and coordinate all appointments with the VIP visitors and the regional delegations.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and the meetings of the Executive Committee, prepare the minutes, and follow up the implementation of the decisions taken by the Chairman during such meetings.
• Maintain and update the contact list of all VIPs and the Executive Management of all regional offices.
• Maintain membership records of the International Advertising Association (IAA), coordinate and liaise between the Head office in New York and all members.
• In charge of protocol matters, and arrange appointments for the Res. Rep. and all VIP missions with the high-ranking officials in the country.
• Translate all incoming correspondence, and draft replies/routine letters for the Res. Rep.’s signature.
• Organize and follow-up the Inter-Agency Coordination meetings that are held on a monthly basis.
• Establish contact and build relationships with national and international media outlets in order to pitch stories about the policies and impact of UNDP.
• Organize and coordinate press conferences, press launches, and media campaigns.
• Plan and conduct field trips for international/national journalists as well as goodwill ambassadors.
• Handle the distribution of information materials
From 2001 to 2003, I was assigned the task of Security Focal Point for UNDP and the UN Resident Coordinator Unit. I was responsible for preparing the monthly security incidents reports, updating the lists of the International and national UN staff members, reporting for the headcount of the UN staff members in the quarterly reports to UN HQ, monitoring the operation status of the office radio base station and other communications equipments, and preparing the security clearance to all missions traveling to Syria, (Syria is in Phase I of Security Plan which is a precautionary measure).
Translate and type all correspondence of the General Manager and the Administration Manager, and handle all other secretarial duties for both managers. Supervise the company’s secretaries and help them improve their secretarial abilities. Maintain the company’s central files.
