Project: Riyadh Metro Project is a mega-project in Riyadh, with a value of USD $26 Billion. Riyadh Metro Transit Consultants (a Joint
Venture of Parsons, Egis and Systra) is responsible for providing Project Management and Construction Supervision services for two
of the three packages of the Project. The scope for the two packages includes the civil and transit system works for three metro lines
totaling approximately 104 km and 60 state-of-the-art stations. The construction of the metro segments and stations include the use
of tunnel boring machines, launching girders and other modern construction equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Management and direction of a team of Structures Engineers and Inspectors for the supervision of the construction of the Metro
Rail designs.
* Perform and coordinate inspections and determine quality assurance testing models of raw materials and finished products.
* Prepare, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
* Review the technical documents, shop drawings, CWP, MST, ITP, and specifications.
* Reporting on progress, safety, financial recommendations, and quality control and design modifications.
* Carry out inspections, report defects, raise paperwork as necessary as required to the technical system.
* Builds a trusted relationship with the management team and with the client’s counterpart staff.
* Establishes an appropriate working relationship with the contractors.
* Places an emphasis on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Leads by
example in driving safe practices on site.
* Assists the Resident Engineer Viaduct/Stations in monitoring progress of construction against the program and takes steps to
ensure the program is achieved.
* Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the Metro Rail supervision works and monitors it for
improvement. Cooperates with audits required in accordance with the contract requirements and internal systems.
* Contributes to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed designs.
* Ensures that the Viaduct/Stations Construction Supervision team members effectively identify, manage and report project risks.
Projects: Dualization of Muwassim-Al Tuwal Road +Access and Secondary Roads in Jazan Area (MUAT), total length is 193 Km,
having 5 Bridges, 50 Box Culverts and Pipe Culverts.
Achievement:
* Introduced best practices in the construction work and successfully met the stringent quality standards.
* Successfully executed projects within the set budgets and in time.
* Provided practical solutions that were both innovative and economical.
* Overcame a number of hurdles and completed the projects through untiring attitude and hard work.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for executing the projects including engineering, procurement, and construction as per budgets.
* Supervising roads and structure work as per the approved drawings and specification.
* Monitoring projects to maintain quality standards, ensuring completion within set budgets and with excellent architectural finish,
and avoiding time overruns.
* Coordinating with Utilities Engineer/ Safety Engineer to remove utilities from construction site area and preparing traffic diversion
/ detours plans for work area.
Project Handled : Lyari Expressway Project, Karachi
Achievement:
* Conducted technical scrutiny of the drawings and designs furnished by the consultants to ensure their conformance to the
specifications and standards.
* Supervised all construction activities of roadwork (highway & structure) for timely project completion.
Responsibilities:
* Installed the batching plant with water tank & chiller.
* Maintained Schedule, reports & documents based on revisions and changes to the project.
* Monitored and executed the work as per the drawing plans and assigned duties to technicians
* Conducted quality checks, verified accuracy of data, information, and calculations of all documents and reports.
* Supervised construction of Freyssosil Panels
* Installed Reinforced Earth Wall and supervised the construction of various culverts at site.
* Prepared the Schedule of Panel Erection
* Managed the construction and installation of TSC Barrier.
