Welcoming guests onboard and building personal relationships with our VVIP guests, anticipating their needs and providing the utmost comfort at all times. This included making informed decisions on catering orders all over the world to meet the clients’ expectations and keeping within budget constraints. Was requested by senior management to fly our most prestigious guests. Trained in safety and emergency procedures on Boeing Business Jet and Gulfstream 300 aircraft.
Onboard Coach
Approached by senior management to become Onboard Coach due to my outstanding levels of customer service skills and my ability to lead as part of the team.
• In my role as Onboard Coach I mentored the existing Pursers during flights and gave feedback to management. I also encouraged and supported new members of cabin crew during their first few months of flying, giving them the confidence to succeed.
• Participated in selecting new members of the cabin crew team in the recruitment process and then supporting them throughout their training, particularly focussing on their service skills.
• Trialled new products and services to ensure that these products suited the company’s corporate image and those services were up to the required standard so that the company stood out as a market leader.
Achievements
Due to my organisational skills and knowledge of the aviation industry this enabled me to ensure the brand values were upheld. Recognising this management asked me to help establish the Catering Service and Logistics Department. This involved developing menu options and liaising with local personnel to ensure that quality and budget were not compromised and the resulting selections were relayed to the Pursers.
Cabin Manager September 2005 - June 2010
Accountable for the day to day management and overall supervision of the Cabin Crew. I was the onboard leader, responsible for guiding and motivating the team to ensure consistent high safety standards are applied onboard. I guaranteed the compliance of procedures, paper work and specific instructions are adhered to for different outstations.
Part Time Quality and Safety Auditor November 2007 - June 2010
Conducting Audits at outstations to ensure and monitor the compliance of Etihad operation standards and procedures. I looked for areas of improvement that will assist in a safer and a more cost effective operation, developing and completing an audit report, following up with the outstations to ensure the changes have been implemented.
Cabin Crew November 2004 - September 2005
Working effectively as part of a team to ensure standards set are achieved and surpassed. I ensured safety and security checks of the aircraft are up to aviation standards so Cabin Crew and guests are safe onboard. I also worked on first and business class flights, which has deepened my communication skills.
NVQ level 2 and 3 Desktop Publishing City and Guilds Was awarded apprentice of the year 2002 in Desktop Publishing.
