The job responsibility included,
- OnSpec Process Engineer in the active projects.
- Develop steady state and dynamic simulation models and studies using various process simulation software ( Aspen HYSYS, HYSYS Dynamics, OLGA,
- Conducting process simulation and modeling training courses covering Oil & Gas industry.
o Aspen Hysys Steady State.
o Aspen Hysys Dynamics.
o Aspen Hysys Heavy Oil Modeling.
Main Projects:
Basic and Detailed Engineering design for Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) for ADES Company. My responsibilities included:
Process simulation.
PFD and heat and matria matrial balance.
Equipment and Line sizing.
Equipment datasheets and equipment list.
Cause and effect matrices.
Technical bid evaluation and Vendor print review
Steady State and Transient Flow Assurance Study; PetroDara
West Bakr Petroleum Company intended to perform a Steady State flow assurance Simulation for the pipelines network. OnSpec performed the required study using OLGA Software for flow assurance.
I was involved in the following activities:
• Performing Simulation Model.
• Preparation of Input, Weekly, Draft and Final reports
Disouq Development Project; RWE
RWE Dea Egypt intends to develop its concession in Disouq that consists of around 9 production wells with a total capacity of 150 MMSCFD (phase A). A FEED project for the new gas processing plant has been awarded to OnSpec in order to conduct all required FEED activities and issue all equipment and valves (long lead items) MRQs. I was involved in the following activities:
• Process Simulation
• Development of H&M Balance
• Development of PFDs and UFDs
-Handle all production processes based on PLC SCADA System; troubleshoot operations problems for Hydrogenation, Deodorization and Dry Filtration Units including start-up, shutdown and changeover.
-Troubleshoot operational problems.
-Maintain specifications of the required products (determined by Quality Assurance department) via optimizing process parameters.
-Controls the performance of the process and the lines by establishing and implementing the proper performance measures, taking corrective action as needed, and seeking advice and assistance from Management and other units.
-Ensures up-to-date line diary sheets and records are maintained.
-Implementing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) plan.
-Identifying the main units (Feed, operating conditions, products) and studying the PFDs of the units.
- Distinguishing types of pumps, valves, heat exchangers.
- On-job watching the main equipments in the company (towers, furnaces, pumps, compressors, controllers)
