•Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
•Develop controls for the identified hazards. Coordinate the implementation of these controls. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place accidents and injuries.
•Rank the work related hazards based on their severity and frequency and include the top 5 hazards in the BOS.
•Coordinate with the area leaders to conduct the BOS.
•Based on the Hazard evaluation, coordinate with the area leader to develop rules and standards for each job. Standards have to be written and communicated to the related people.
•Develop training materials. Conduct specialized safety training programs to communicate accident reporting and investigation, hazard control information, standards and rules, policies….etc. Conduct Safety Committee meetings.
•Help in the process of new recruitment and induction programs for employees’ orientation.
•Analyze, interpret and report accident statistical data; prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards. Review injury and property damage reports.
•Develop procedures to manage contractors’ safety include review of the job that will be conducted, the tasks related to that job. Coordinate to implement any hazard control, on-site inspection to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
•Coordinate with the help of the Regional Logistics Manager & the Regional Sales Manager to implement the Rewards/Sanction System.
•Make sure that all Safety KPI’s are communicated and well known by the employees.
•Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.
