• Direct and supervise the provision of contracted services necessary to obtain the works and services required
• Supervise the implementation of procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy
• Supervise and provide assistance in the preparation of tender documentation
• Determines the basis of contract negotiations to ensure cost and benefit optimization for the company
• Assist the team in delivering quality performance, and ensuring that Department as well as Individuals KPIs are being met
• Directs the preparation of the final techno-commercial evaluation report and recommendation, as well as submission to tender board
• Handling the larger or more technically complex type of contracts and services
• Ensure development of commercial strategies for contracts and services activities of end -user
• Preparation of submissions to Tender Board, Senior Management and Shareholders pertaining to the outcome of the tenders
• Ensure efficient administration of post-award activities until these are concluded satisfactorily
• Analyze contractors’ claims against Company and raise Company claims against contractors
• Negotiations with bidders, suppliers and contractors to obtain best commercial terms and outcomes and assess their performance
• Ensure efficient implementation of contract terms, especially with respect to delivery / dispatch to required site
• Training and guiding of newly joined employees, and active contribution in the Emiratization process
• Stationed at Samsung Engineering Headquarters in Seoul, Korea for 16 months (March 2010 - July 2011) during Detailed Engineering phase
• Stationed at FERTIL site in Ruwais, UAE (July 2011 - present) during Construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and Start-up phases
• Agreeing on a format for the main project modules such as (schedules, progress measurements weighting, progress curves, manpower histograms, and construction equipment)
• Outlining the system and levels of planning, scheduling, and monitoring of the project activities by comparing the actual progress and comparing it to the planned progress
• Follow up on the contractors Project Control Procedures and Systems such as (Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Master Schedule, Reporting System, Deliverable Schedule, and Schedule Risk Analysis)
• Reviewing & challenging the contractors methods for measuring and reporting physical progress
• Monitoring summary tables submitted by contractor along with complete back up documents in order to produce a progress certificate which shall form a part of monthly invoices
• Follow up on progress with contractors in form of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Establish alongside with the contractor a methodology for early identification and control of potential changes such as scope, quality, cost, and change in schedule
• Conducting regular expediting visits to the critical equipment vendors shop in order to evaluate the status in terms of delivery schedule, material availability, spare parts, and/or any risks that could affect the required on site date
Co-ordinated and prepared short and long terms maintenance programs for all routine and major equipment including developing action plans for plant major overhaul and for planned shutdown
Controlled and followed up implementation program to ensure optimum level of availability to meet production targets
Modified original plans to accommodate changing conditions and recommended appropriate actions
Established frequent contact with site engineers and supervisors to review and optimize preventive maintenance schedules
Established frequent contact with operations division for maintenance management system implementation
Prepared and submitted weekly programs for all routine and shutdown activities
Updated reports on daily basis and accommodated achievements for each discipline activities
Prepared and submitted annual planned maintenance reports for major equipment
Participated in 2009 Turnaround (planned, periodic shut down of the plant to perform maintenance, overhaul and repair operations and to inspect, test and replace materials and equipment’s)
