Deliver a full range of tax services like VAT, WHT and zakat in
compliance with laws within timeframe to various companies and
dealing with queries from tax authorities on regular basis.
• Ensure 100% compliance by timely filling and settlement of annual
zakat and tax liability and payment of advance income tax.
• Manage team of tax auditors to asses and research difficult tax issues
to identify issues and determine tax savings and recommend strategies
to improve profits.
• Mitigates all compliance risks by ensuring all actions are followed up in
a timely manner and closed with approval from relevant stakeholders.
• Engage regularly with groups and maintain strong relationships and
identify areas where business can reduce tax, make claims and
increase profit.
Responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of all VAT, WHT, Income Tax
and Zakat related returns & dealing with queries from tax authorities on
a regular basis.
• Provide tax and audit services to the business and work with other
departments on VAT issues that arise to provide solutions in line with
fiscal compliance.
• Responsible for VAT, WHT training as applicable and preparation,
filing, payment & review of VAT related returns for a number of entities.
• Liaises with the Global services tax team & ensures correct mapping of
tax codes involved in VAT aspects of all projects.
• Provide Consultancy in preparation and submission of VAT, zakat,
WHT returns.
• Review and approve returns prepared by my team to ensure accuracy
and arrange payments of tax liabilities. Compilation of supporting
documents to ensure that full audit trail is available for audit
inspections on a timely basis.
• Engage regularly with clients and maintain strong relationships and
identify areas where clients and business can reduce tax, make claims
and increase profit.
• Coordinate with zakat/tax advisors to prepare full analysis of GAZT
assessment and completion of appeals documentation. Keep up to
date on changes in VAT legislation & ensure timely implementation of
new rules.
• Render VAT, WHT and Income Tax services to various companies and
compliance with regulations.
• Prepare tax payments, estimate and track tax returns, complete
quarterly and annual tax reports.
• Manage a team of auditors, organize and update the client’s tax
database and recommend tax strategies that align with business goals.
• Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns and share
financial data with the accounting department.
• Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits, follow
industry trends and track changes related to taxes and liaise with
internal and external auditors.
• Forecast tax predictions to senior managers.
• Build up plan to audit companies of large taxpayer to avoid tax evasion
both (Corporate Tax and VAT).
• Follow implementation of internal control of accounting system
standards which issued by Egyptian Taxes Authority and Egyptian
programming federation.
• Auditing and ensure that large and medium taxpayers are in line with
statutory legislation and regulations for different kinds of taxes
(Corporate, Personal, Payroll, Withholding, Stamp and Property taxes).
• Carry out analytical procedures and substantive tests, evaluate and
test internal control systems, examine and evaluate firm's financial and
information systems, management procedures, to ensure that records
are accurate, and controls are adequate.
• Discover and analysis taxpayers' international transactions in order to
discover tax evasion and illegal avoidance.
• Manage examination of transfer pricing, tax treaties and international
taxation rules.
• Provide financial information to management by researching and
analyzing accounting data.
• Prepare assets, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and
analyzing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information and
recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information,
preparing balance sheet, profit & loss statement and other reports.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies
and procedures.
