Providing assistance on an ongoing basis to the treasury sales desk.

Acting Head of MM & Fixed Income Desk
Responsible for managing the bank’s foreign currencies positions.
Execute FX deals (Interbank, Inter-branch).
Manage the bank’s limits with both foreign and local banks.
Develop FX desk contacts with banks (counterparts) in major financial markets.
Maintain high level of market awareness by continuously monitoring Reuters and interpret market news.
Assist in preparing the ALCO (Asset & liability committee) reports and memos.
Monitor the bank's equity portfolio on daily basis and report its status to the top Management (% change, O/H/L/C).
MM & Fixed Income Dealer
Bid in the primary auctions for government securities (Treasury Bills/Treasury Bonds/Repo).
Deal in placing the bank’s deposits & borrowings with both foreign and local banks with respect to the limits.
Trading in government securities (Treasury Bills/Treasury Bonds).
Evaluate the bank's investment portfolio on quarterly basis for financial reporting purposes.
Follow-up with team members regarding the execution of fund managers’ orders.
Responsible for the RTGS system (Real Time Gross Settlement) implementation in coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt:
Responsible for monitoring the incoming and outgoing funds to maintain the level of the reserve requirements held at the Central Bank (14% of bank’s deposits in local currency held as reserve at the central bank of Egypt).
Responsible for preparing on daily basis the bank’s reserve calculation and sending the reserve memo to the dealing room to act accordingly.
Provide assistance and support for the Treasury front office dept. by executing the daily MM (Loans & Deposits) & FX deals and checking the implementation of these deals by branches and various operational depts.
Determine the surplus or deficit of foreign & local currencies.
Responsible for the execution of loans and deposits done by the front office, expert in using the swift system for payments and communications.
