Responsible for Design of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical, Fire protection, LPG systems.
Undertake site survey as required and coordinate with all concerned parties for data collections and Submit Schedule and list of design deliverables.
Submit Concept design reports in line with design indent, Develop preliminary schematic design, equipment location, floor space planning requirement, MEP riser openings and distribution MEP services routing in coordination with structural/ architectural and infrastructure. Generate preliminary system schematics, typical installation details, services routing and distribution.
Develop guideline MEP works specification in line with international standard, detail design, all related calculations, equipment schedule in full coordination with structure and architecture and submit design drawings and calculations to relevant authorities. Liaison with authorities and obtain approval, update authority comments and issue final design package for construction.
Generate bill of materials as per issued for construction drawing, establish a detailed Material Budget with breakdown and coordinate with procurement, finance and site project manager and monitor that the actual site material requirements are maintained within the budget.
Technical Evaluation of tenders & subcontractor bids, prepare Value engineering without compromising design intend and authority requirements.
Coordinating with Project Managers and site engineering team to ensure the execution are carried out as per approved design / shop drawings to control wastage of materials and effective coordination between services.
Coordinate with Planning Manager and Project Managers and Manage Progress of Engineering / Design works in line with construction schedule. Lead and control the design / engineering document flows and document project progress disruptions which can be used as contractual aids for extension of time / cost and dispute resolutions.
Lead technical coordination meetings with Consultants, subcontractors and project staff, Provide technical input for offer requests and the awarding of subcontracts
Manage timely approval for shop drawings, calculations and equipments in coordination with main contractors /consultants/clients.
Manage Timely submission of clarification RFI’s if found any variance with drawings & site condition. Manage submission of detailed particulars for Variation Orders and timely notification and submission of costs for approval
Submit and monitor approvals of Engineering calculations /Material submittals, Vendor approvals, ITP’s, Method Statement within the baseline milestone dates.
Carryout necessary follow-ups with vendors / suppliers / sub-contractors for timely execution / delivery of the project.
Prepare deliverable list for handover documentations 'As-Built Drawings' and O & M Manuals.
Identify training needs of the project team members and arrange for suitable training, for furtherance of their professional skills and competence.
Conduct staff evaluation and forward to Management with recommendation / corrective actions
Review of Material submittals, verification of compliance with specifications and notifying the Project Consultant regarding deviations from codes, standards and specification.
Review and respond to project correspondence from Contractor & Consultant contractually time to time and notify Consultant & Contractor regarding varied works and maintain contemporary records
Monitor the Schedule of MEP works, record and notify the contractor regarding its delays pursuant to Contract clauses and instruct the Contractor to expedite the progress of work
Verify and approve the Contractor’s payment applications with respect to quantity, quality, adherence to project schedule, penal conditions and ensures that the Contractor’s payments are precisely evaluated & all payments are recommended for payment pursuant to provisions in the contract.
Oversee the day-to-day management of projects with the Contractor’s project execution team and its subcontractors. Instruct the project management team to Plan and schedule its work in a structured manner, prioritize requirements to achieve the targets and milestones
Coordinate Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical works with civil activities. Supervise installation of Electrical, HVAC, Water supply, central water filtration system, Drainage, Gray water Recycling, Firefighting, Fire alarm, central gas system, Voice Evacuation system, CCTV, Public address system, SMATV system, Access control system, structure cabling system, PABX system, Intercom system, Elevators, Escalators, BMS System etc
Prioritize the Works, obtain necessary approvals and open work fronts to all subcontractors in coordination with the civil works progress and ensure proper sequence of work is followed in order to avoid reworks and damages to any installed works
Manage overall progress of entire subcontractor’s, Organize weekly site progress meetings and conduct weekly coordination / progress review meeting internally with all Subcontractors
Review all the technical submittals and drawings of subcontractors and verify its compliance with specification, Subcontractors ITP's, Method Statements, shop drawings, design proposals in coordination with project specifications and quality Plan and obtain approval from the Consultant
Participate and monitor complete testing and commissioning of Plant and equipment and ensure all the operations and tests are adequately performed and document the records of all test results and reports to handover it to client along with operation and maintenance manuals
Execution & Supervising the progress of work and daily site activities.
Supervision on installation of equipment
Preparation of material submittals complying specification requirements.
Preparation of shop drawings based on the contract drawings issued for construction.
Preparation of work instructions and inspection & test plan
Assist project Engineer in execution of MEP works, prepared shop drawings using AutoCAD and schedules using MS project.
