• Responsible for the provision of security planning in middle east region for Accommodations, Facilities, and yards and to ensure the compliance with national and international law requirements.

• Identify and evaluate of all security risks and establishment of control to manage and reduce any or all quantified risk to an acceptable security level, utilizing proactive security threat identification, risk assessment, risk management and clear communication at all ports within DP World-UAE Region.

• Ensure Key performance indicators KPI is set and comply to measure the performance and effectiveness of security measures against specific security threats, objective and goals.
• Regular internal, external and surveillance audit to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the system.
• Promoting security awareness through internal and external trainings and communication programs to educate employee at all levels of the company to contribute effectively to the protection of the company.
• Controlling access to ships and port facilities e.g. Seafarer’s luggage check, port immigration clearance and shore-pass verification check and other ship related services e.g. ship provision of goods deliveries, maintenance service personnel and ship visitors.
• Compliance with Dubai Code of Practice for the Management of Dangerous Goods.
• Manage container terminal gates operation as per security procedures to ensure smooth access of import and export cargo as per cargo manifest.
• Facilitate access forvisitors, employee, maintenance, contractor, VVIP, and Government Authorities Emergency service vehicles.
• Regional visit in ports under DP World and carry out regular port facility assessment and risk assessment as per KPI.
• Carry out internal investigation when necessary, review surveillance system and submit report to Regional Security Operations.
• Manage security manpower deployment, IDTech -attendance system, roster and contracts
• Monitoring security employee performance as per DP World Regional Security Management Standard ISO 28000:2007
• Prepare corporate emails, reports and submit to department manager
• Develop training plans, awareness, port facility induction and modules for new security staff
• Attend, maintain regular corporate and departmental meetings
• Apprehend and report violators and handed-over to Ports and Local Authority as per UAE Port Policy
• Promote a positive health and safety culture, compliance with applicable Ports rules, standard and regulations e.g. EHS -Trakhees Ports, Maritime Operations Environment Health and Safety and Fire Regulations Standard, Dubai Municipality SCOP

• Supervise other Security Officers and conduct briefing for them.
• Assign duties as per the instructions from Security Manager.
• Prepare duty roster and conduct departmental orientation for new employees.
• Coordinate with the Local Police and CID if required.
• Check the assets on a daily basis for any damage or any incidents.
• Guard entrance and exits and submit reports to the Lobby Manager daily.
• Monitor designated areas on the CCTV Cameras.
• Ensure that ‘Fire Exit’ doors are kept free of blockage at all times and ensure that fire and safety equipment’s are in their right places.
• Perform all tasks consistently in line with the hotel standards and adhere to all legal and statutory requirements.
