The primary purpose of this role is to manage the existing AR and AP teams to ensure that revenue from the above activities is reported accurately and collected on time; cash forecasts are accurate; critical vendors are managed correctly and paid within terms; and the working capital loan facility is utilised efficiently and effectively

To assist the FD with major changes within Puma Finance. Updating the systems and processes in line with other Puma Companies and training existing staff with the ongoing changes and creating awareness with the other departments.
Overseeing other Finance Team members for the monthly quarterly reports as well as submission of the quarterly VAT report

Support and manage the Accounts Payable and Financial Accounting functions of the business as well as the monthly accounting entries to ensure the accuracy of the management accounts and financial accounts.
Be a super user for Oracle within the Finance department, working on ways to improve efficiency and work practices for the benefit of the broader organisation.

In addition to the key accountabilities listed I was fully involved in developing the changes required in our procedures and systems (oracle) to take account of the new VAT legislation in UAE. I also helped develop reports to be used in order to be able to provide the correct information required for the VAT return

Setting up Financial Systems to provide monthly and quarterly reporting for the business as well as forecasts and analytical reports for potential investors
Main Contact point for the Auditors during the Due Diligence Process for the Sale of the company.

Managing the Financial Department of the Company including 8 members of staff.
Preparation of monthly reports for the Investment Company compiling the operations, construction and commercials reports along with the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow reports
Tracking expenditure against budget and advising the relevant budget holders for each department(Construction, Operations, HSE etc)
Liaising with Auditors both in UAE and Qatar.

• Managing The Financial Department of the Company which has a budget of more than $ 80 million per year..
• All Financial reporting of the Company and it’s subsidiaries at concession/joint venture and corporate level.
• Responsible for the management of the payment process, bank transactions and control procedures that will be implemented by the accounts administrators and the FC.
• Preparation of monthly billing statements, cash calls, monthly management reports, board reports, quarterly cost recovery statements to government, tax returns, tax reports etc
• Budget preparation and tracking expenditure against budget and reporting to project managers.
• Assisting the CFO in the preparation of six and twelve monthly reports to the AIM stock exchange ( this was applicable while the Company was Indago Petroleum )
• Responsible for Corporate audits under UK GAAP accounting standards
