poems, grade three reading buddies, At Home Reading Program, and Words Their Way
● Incorporated the use of information technology into the students’ daily learning
● Assessed student learning using documentation - photos and videos, continuums, portfolios (including
DSBN’s Classroom-Based Literacy Assessment Portfolio) checklists, and anecdotal records
● Established a classroom website that successfully involved the parents in their child’s learning
● Involved in extracurricular activities such as math club and soccer club
● Collaborated with my Vietnamese teaching partner on a daily basis, shared effective strategies and
developed and implemented TLCPs with the other kindergarten teachers, and worked with and taught
other elementary grade teachers as a member of the professional development committee
