Perform registration, admission and appointment booking processes of the hospital using the registration module of Mentis Soft Spectrum HIS.
Verify valid emirates ID, passport, insurance and eligibility for insured patients.
Entering the insurance card info in HIS using right entry format for each card.
Provide insurance online claim form for patients insured such as Nextcare and Metlife Alico.
Gaining verbal approval direct from insurance companies for urgent cases.
Scan insurance requests through shared folder for pre-authorizations.
Generate invoices and collect payments.
Admitting/Discharging inpatients after working hours of admission department.
Book appointments for patients referred by Emergency Physician.
Closing the daily collection reports and delivers it to Finance Department.
Promote an effective circle of communication between patients, employees and clinical providers.

Responsible to maintain a safe and accident-free environment.
Deal directly with patients/customers to relay detailed information through telephone, personal and electronically.
Proficient in computer data entry of patient/customer’s account.
Resolve conflict and perform verification.
Communicate with administrative department.
Coordinate with doctors and nurses for patient’s treatment and fast recovery.
Manage insurance and ask for pre-approval (consultation, laboratory and procedures).
Handles payment and cash on hand.
Follow up patient/customer condition upon treatment and progress.
Provide feedback on the efficiency of customer service.
Make end of day report, invoices and summary.
Transcribes medical dictation to provide permanent record of patient care (operative reports, consultation reports, discharge summaries, radiology reports etc.)
Reviews all outgoing reports, discharge summaries, operative reports and other reports for accuracy and completeness.
Keeps a record of all outgoing and incoming correspondence and reports.
Generates monthly statistics on the transcription and reports function in the hospital.
Demonstrates an understanding of the medico-legal implications and responsibilities related the transcription of patient records to protect the patient and hospital.
Operates the designed word processing, dictation and transcription equipment as directed to complete assignments.
Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the Medical Records Department.
Expands job related knowledge and skills to improve performance and adjust to change.
Coordinates with the file room supervisor to act as a back-up medical records file room clerk to ensure smooth functioning of the medical records request and retrieval processing.
Performs other duties and tasks within the realm of his/her knowledge and ability as required.
Process DHA Sick Leave Certificate online.
