HR Manager for two schools, The Children’s Garden, based in two different locations in Dubai. Currently, oversee and manager approx. 60 employees across the two locations. Key responsibility is to recruit, retain and assist on a day to day basis, as well as provide support to the SLT (Senior Leadership team) members and the SEB (School Executive Board) of Taaleem.
Currently, have been benchmarked within the Taaleem HR department and assist in HR training for the other HR Managers within Taaleem. Act as point of contact for help and advice for other HR Managers.
In previous school year, managed a school closure, and was able to redeploy 50% of employees within other schools. Also conducted training and development workshops, mainly pertaining to CV writing and Interview skills for those employees.
Currently also implement and initiate an employee relations strategy across the two schools to improve employee wellbeing, job satisfaction and employee to employer communications.
• Oversaw the overseas admissions process of new overseas families.
• Updated the software and systems used within Admissions departments, made procedures a lot quicker and easier for both parties.
• Main HR responsibilities included the recruitment of new staff for the next academic year.
• Attended job fairs in both Canada and USA with the Head of School and Group Academic Officer.
• Assisted in controlling the budget and oversee the allocation of accommodation for all staff members; managed to reduce the recruitment budget by 25% for 2015-2016 academic year by focusing on more internal recruitment within Qatar.
• Also acted as executive assistant to the Whole School Leadership Team (WLT).
