I worked as an accountant for the tourist hotel Blue Luxury Apartments (Pvt) Ltd. There, I performed duties such as managing sundry cash, preparing food and expense accounts, handling day-to-day financial accounting functions, preparing GL calendars / Bank reconciliations, preparation and submission of quarterly GST returns, supporting financial reporting and audit processes.
I have more than two years of experience working as an external auditor for KPMG Sri Lanka and am well-versed in managing audits and clients. I have audited more respected businesses, including Sri Lankan Airlines, Bank of Ceylon, Standard Chartered Bank, manufacturing firms, provident funds, Credit Rating Companies and hotels. I took part in an internship program at the Bank of Ceylon headquarters to finish my degree.
