Test and set up rigging for safety and maneuverability before each movement
•Proper communication with colleagues on site using verbal communication or hand signals so as to ensure the safety and correct movement of heavy equipment or materials.

•Attach loads to rigging machinery in order to move them from one place to another.
•Ensure that pulleys and blucks are properly attached to beams, ceilings and pole booms.
•Make sure that the right amount sized bolts and clamps are used for each attachment.
•Assemble and dismantle rigging equipment at the end of each shift.
•Manipulate rigging lines & hoists in order to control attached heavy equipment.
•Ensure that the lines & hoist are in order to control attached heavy equipment.
•Ensure that the selected cables, pulleys and winches are in accordance to the weight of the equipment that needs to be hoisted or moved.
•Adhere to safety rigging practices at every step of the rigging process.
•Good housekeeping maintained
•Ensure that all rigging gear is stored in a proper manner and is ready for the next shift.
•Adhere to use of complete PPE and avoid unsafe act and unsafe condition always.

Duties as materials man
•Organize and monitor customers manifest ensuring correct document is attached to all lifting equipment, MSDS and any Imo dangerous goods declarations.
•Prepared, monitor, and update equipment and material stocks offshore and keep comprehensive inventories and records of all equipment and materials.
•Keep a comprehensive inventories and records of equipment materials usage. Clear and concise records of incoming and outgoing loads & personal manifest lists.
•Ensure that HSE principles are followed during lifting operations.
•Assist the base manager in day to day running of the stacking areas and warehouses.
•Organize and monitor customers and service company equipment and materials offshore during drilling operation.
•Co-ordinate and liaise with vendors/supplier to get the materials to be delivered to the logistics base on time as per schedule.
•Create shipping documents for offshore cargo ( load list, cargo manifest)
•Coordinating vessels movement to and from the rig
•Maintain and register of all rental equipment and tools mobilized for the projects.
