Managing all HSE related issues and ensuring the effective implementation of company HSE plan, procedure and policy at site. Assisting and advising execution team and subcontractor’s on HSE related issues. Review and approved of JSA, method statement and other HSE related documents for projects. Attending client/consultant meetings and close out of any comments in coordination with the project management. Accident and incident investigation and root cause analysis. Review and monitoring of safety induction, first aid facility, inspection, permit system etc. Identifying training needs and advise management. Prepare minutes of meeting. Attending client and consultant joint safety inspections and producing reports for closeout. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly statistics reports. Evaluate the site for any hazards not identified in the activity hazard assessment and initiate safety measures required to protect personnel.
Managing all HSE functions at workshop project and ensuring effective implementation of company HSE management system.
Supervise safety management system of contractor including review of safety plan and evaluation of their safety performance standard.
Schedule and conduct regular safety audits and inspections and follow up to ensure implementation of required preventive/correction measures.
Review and approve of method statements submitted by contractor.
Support managers, engineers and field personnel in implementation of all HSE rules and regulations and promote safe work practice.
Organize regular HSE training programs to build safety awareness and improve compliance among employees and contractor personnel.
Advising contractor HSE team on areas of improvement.

Coordinating and monitoring all health, safety and environmental activities to ensure agreed safety and loss prevention standards are fully implemented and properly followed.
Maintain effective operation of QDC HSE management system at Sheraton park project.
Provide guidance to contractor’s HSE personnel, provide advice and counsel to management and other employee group on a broad range of occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
Develop and ensure implementation of safety programs by inspecting contractor’s area, equipment and work activities for unsafe act and condition.
Identify the needs for new or modified occupational safety programs.
Research occupational safety information to assure the best available method and equipment are adopted to minimize the hazard in the workplace.
Ensuring that HSE plan is adhered to by the contractor and their sub-contractors and also for the continual auditing of their HSE performance and compliance.
Additional responsibilities includes monitoring the performance of safety personnel on site to improve their safety knowledge as well as their risk management skills such as prioritizing the identification and rectification of hazards based on sound risk management decision making.
Review HSE management plan, contract documents, environmental management plans and method statement.
Conduct internal audits against company standard and provide corrective actions, ensure the development of work instructions as well as training matrix is adequate implemented.

Responsible for the HSE protection and compliance of project personnel; this includes the management of engineering teams and sub-contractors engaged in major civil, fabrication works, and steel erection, transportation and crane operations; in addition to the daily monitoring of work practices of company and subcontractors to ensure compliance to local laws and requirements.
Responsible for continually assessing and reviewing HSE management system to ensure its compliance with client requirements and company objectives, identification of key performance indicators, trends and appropriate corrective actions through periodic project reviews and providing opportunities for measuring and assessing performance.
Additional responsibilities included the delivery of a wide range of ES&H training for personnel, leading and participating in accident investigations, delivery of status and performance reports and actively engaged in the project initiatives in support of the project Target Zero accident program and philosophy, including the behavior based safety and safety task analysis risk reduction talk programs.
Plan and implement programs to train employees in safe operating procedures, ergonomics, fire prevention, safe handling of chemicals, and other materials.
Conduct and coordinate safety inspections in all plant locations and construction sites.
Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries, and cooperate in the preparation of materials for investigation, coordinate emergency response procedures with others on security practices.
