Under the direct supervision of a lead Technician, I utilized textbook and working knowledge of blood borne pathogens, microorganisms and decontamination procedures, to effectively decontaminate and sanitize reusable surgical instruments, and medical equipment. Prepared, stored, and issued sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, and maintained stock levels. Performed all task assigned with the highest degree of accuracy, and attention to detail. Maintained area of assignment to the highest standards of cleanliness to ensure workplace safety at all times. Able to physically complete all daily assigned tasks which included standing, bending, walking and lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
Performed duties in the Central services Department to include receiving soiled items from the OR, manually washing them using wire brushes and towels. Utilizing the Ultrasonic washers and Decontamination as well. Administering Tosi Test on decontamination washers and Sono test on Ultrasonic washer. When in Sterile Processing, I would inspect, and prepare instrument sets for sterilization. Reviews client information entered in Liberty tax data system by tax preparer. Insures client information is correct prior to transmitting to corporate office and IRS. Print and complete client Tax return and financial product. Combine all documents to produce client tax packet. Maintain employee productivity.
Conducted hands on instruction during tactical vehicle off-road training. Provided classroom lecture and instruction for mandatory training, as per AR-385-10, placing emphasis on safety awareness and risk management.
