EFM is a leading consulting firm in Australia, providing end-to-end business solutions to top enterprises in the country. As part of the commercial consulting team, my responsibilities included:
- Collecting and analyzing operational and financial data of enterprise clients to recommend data-driven solutions for reducing operational and supply chain costs.
- Partnering closely with clients' business functions to identify pain points and data inconsistencies, and brainstorming solutions to enhance performance and operational processes.
- Conducting frequent presentations to senior management and other relevant stakeholders, detailing key business decisions and their impact on the company’s P&L.
- Building financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate the financial impact of projects and initiatives.
- Collaborating with IT teams to identify, introduce, and implement technology tools that streamline clients' operations.
- Outcome: Leading commercial initiatives for six enterprise-level clients, resulting in combined operational and financial savings of over $160 million across these organizations.
Capital Alliance Investment manages an LKR 80 billion equity and fixed income portfolio and is one of the leading asset management companies in Sri Lanka. My responsibilities included:
- Covering multiple sectors and providing investment recommendations and stock selection.
- Building complex financial models and valuations, incorporating scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
- Drafting earnings previews and reviews, investment notes, and presentations for institutional clients and investment committees.
- Conducting presentations on prospective companies and industry outlooks for the investment committee and clients.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients by frequently engaging in Q&A sessions.
- Outcome: Supported the portfolio manager in generating market-beating alpha for Q1 2017.
Supported a UK-based long/short hedge fund covering the industrial and banking sectors. My responsibilities included:
