• Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
• Train production personnel in new or existing methods.
• Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
• Provide aid to teams to prioritize improvement opportunities on tactical planning objectives to maximize waste reduction.
• Oversee use of project management tools (A3s) and drive project-based approach to completion with identified team leads.
• Supervise individuals in the execution of process improvement activities and monitoring of performance to standard work throughout the organization
• Coordinate and / or facilitate Administrative or Operations related Lean kaizen Events.
• Use Lean techniques to perform process reviews and aid in establishing standardized work procedures.
Major Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
•Maintains manufacturing or production processes, equipment, and systems to ensure achievement of production targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Lean
•Support and conducts root cause analysis for production problems or NMRs.
•Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production
•Participate, lead and facilitate Kaizen events to improve internal processes to increase production's efficiency
•Train production operators on basic lean principles to support process improvements
Basic Objective and Purpose of Job:
•Responsible for the development, planning, and execution of Process Improvement initiatives by utilizing Lean strategies and metrics that will provide support to various levels throughout the organization
•Responsible to drive change within the organization by training the entire department on the Lean Manufacturing concept
Major Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
•Provides leadership, mentoring or training to all levels of the operation on the use and practice of Lean methodology and tools
•Responsible for identifying, planning and leading the execution Lean Kaizen events / process improvements
•Coordinates the timely collection and dissemination of project/ kaizen status information among the team members and other stakeholders
•Works directly with kaizen teams to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with project leaders to ensure timely response to action items
•Reviews and monitors kaizen progress to assure quality and adherence to project and company objectives
•Acts as a key driver of change within the plant, supporting the management by communicating the plant-wide changes to employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow with the business’ Lean transformation.
Major Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
•Monitors and analyze weekly on time delivery performance of Electronic and Automotive Business Units for all sites.
•Monitors the weekly Cross Dock operations volume and trend to establish cost effective transportation means.
•Analyze and assist in error resolution.
•Do follow ups to facilitate invoices immediate payment.
•Analyze and resolve issues preventing the invoices to get paid.
•Check the integrity of the daily On time Delivery Performance Report received from each forwarding partner.
