In my capacity as the Head of Procurement reporting directly to the CFO I provide strategic leadership and vision in developing and implementing a best-in-class procurement across the University. My responsibilities include:
• Manage NYUAD’s annual indirect procurement spend (circa US $300 million per annum) across broad range of categories and commodities including Research-Laboratory; Arts; and IT goods and services
• Lead change initiatives, from a current low base, to facilitate the strategy and the procurement function and help educate and develop NYUAD Staff and Faculty on procurement best practice
• Implementation and Management of eProcurement ERP Tools and Modules
• Liaison with Office of Compliance and Risk Management and General Counsel to ensure best practice and risk mitigation for NYUAD
• Support an overall framework for the Supplier Management process, including Supplier Segmentation, Supplier On boarding, Scorecard Development, Performance Review, and Joint Business Planning
• Managing the Procurement strategy and being responsible for the effective management of the University's e-procurement platform; overseeing the management of the category, ensuring that product and service contracts provide the University with tangible value and benefits
• Developing strategic plans to streamline operations and ensure all data within the e-pro system is accurate and reported
• Managing the Procurement Team; overseeing the development and processing of requests for proposals, requisitions, orders, change orders, contracts and reports
